It's okay
Pros: It blows coolish air but I'm not sure how it works in the car with over 80 degree temps. Not bad for the price. Cons: It's loud and it does not fit in a standard cup holder. I had to purchase a cup holder that fits on the window so that I could place the fan in.

Takes on south Texas heat and wins
I've read good and bad about this fan. My review is very good!!!Here's a little about where I put it. I own a 1999 Ford F150 pick up truck. It has a front center console that swings down and it has a single cup holder on it. That's just where I put the fan. There are several other cup holders including two that are close to the AC vent but the fan won't fit there. The AC doesn't work so I wanted the fan as close to me as I could get it.Here's how I used it. I took a six hour round trip today all of which was in DEEP south Texas. It's been 109 degrees several times this year and it averaged 101 today. Please know that I am a desert rat and I LOVE hot weather. I drove all day with the fan running while it was pointed at me. The drivers side window was closed, the passenger window was open as well as the two rear vent windows. Not once was I uncomfortable.Other reviews say this fan is noisy. In my opinion it's not. I had my radio on most of the time and could hear every word. People complain because it doesn't oscillate. They're right, it doesn't but since I was the only one in the truck, that wasn't a problem. It ran almost continuously for six hours and never once did the body of the fan feel hot. The cord was long enough to reach my dashboard with room to spare.I love this fan and am very happy with it so far. It cooled me down in extreme heat with no air condition which is what it is supposed to do. An awesome fan which I'm sure will perform just as well once our weather turns hot.

Doesn't fit cup holders in any vehicle I've tired it in. Noisy, doesn't move much air.
This thing is noisy, doesn't move much air, and doesn't fit any cup holder I've yet tried it in. It's TOO BIG for most cup holders, and I own FIVE DIFFERENT CARS. We also have Ford Trucks and golf carts at work (where I intended to use use it) and it doesn't fit into the normal sized cupholders of the trucks, and is loose in the golfcarts holders, which are oversized. This is a problem, since it is also top-heavy, and will go flying out if you actually drive around in a vehicle with it.The base is a straight cylindrical shape, with no taper. If it was gently tapered along it's length, like a waxed paper or plastic cup from literally any fast food restaurant you can name, it would likely work with most of the cup holders I have. It doesn't work in my Toyota, Ford, Mini, or VW cupholders. Considering that's it's PURPOSE, and one that it advertises on the box, that's pretty pathetic. I would have returned it, but like I said, it bounced out of the cupholder on a golfcart and was scuffed up, so now I'm stuck with it, even though it's worthless.

WILL NOT fit in cupholders
Works well enough to keep our son cool in the backseat. We hhave a van and I had planned to put it in the back cupholder and plug it in by the door. It did not fit. None of the cupholders would hold it.If you're thinking of getting it anyway, have another place to put it. Fortunately, we have seat protectors on the backs of the front seats tat have pockets. I gave it three stars because it works well, but it needs to be redesigned or remarketed.

Did not fit cup holder
I choose this model after reading other reviews on it. I would agree that it is fairly quiet but it did not fit the cup holder in the car. We bought it so the dog would have circulating air in the back seat since she gets so anxious. We tried to rig it with tape and a strap to the console aiming it to the back seat but within ten minutes of the trip the fan toppled over. We will try again next trip with another idea but I wish it had fit the cup holder as intended!

Worth it
Definitely does well in Vegas heat. I have it in the back seat of my car because I don't have back air vents and I use it for my daughter. Helps circulate the air and keep it cool.

Buy something else
I really wanted to like this fan. Planned to use it to give my fur baby cooler air in the back seat since I have no vents in the passenger section. On the second use, it started making rattling sounds and it became annoying as hell. I don't recommend this product as it is cheaply made.
