Obie Owl & Bitsy Bat are nocturnal creatures, they come out at night and sleep during the day. Obie’s older brother says daytime creatures are odd, Obie & Bitsy stay up one day to find out more. Obie & Bitsy meet daytime creatures Squirrel, Frog & Badger, and discover that although they can each do different things, depending on what sort of animal they are, they’re also very similar and definitely not odd! A lovely story about friendship and acceptance of those different from ourselves, with beautiful illustrations.

A longer story but it's worth it, according to my son. We liked the story. The bat and the owl make friends with daytime creatures who are different but friendly.

My son loved it. Good illustrations and lovely story. Great choice of words to challenge yet intrigue my 6 year old.
