It was a perfect chrome match to existing lift cylinder, and swapped right into place, plus works perfectly!

I am tall and this cartridge has additional length allowing my chair to be set at more comfortable positions. Getting the old cartridge out had it's iddues, but putting the new one in once that was accomplished was a snap.

It is defiantly as stated, chrome, long and holds a lot, but that's what I wanted !. The hard part was getting the old one out of the chair base.....I put a pipe wrench on the shaft of the old one and was able to remove it from the chair, then took the base with lift attached to it out to the garage and set in my bench vise ( nice big Wilton ) and with a 3lbs. sledge hammer and 8" long chunk of wood I was able too smack it with a couple of good blows and POP !!! there she goes hitting to floor like a bullet.....keep your feet clear mates !!, The pipe wrench left deep gouges in the old shaft so if you are planning on reusing the existing gas lift you are trying to remove.... you might want to rethink the method in which it was removed by Me ? , so the old one went it the garbage, I installed the New Office Factor Chair gas Lift and all is Golden !!

Had a chair with no base, a nice $500 chair and so this was awesome! I bought this, the base and the wheels for under $100 and it all looks and works great. I’m a big guy too and it holds me fine. No real install or setup, just place it in the hole of the base and set the chair in top of it. Simple, no screws, boom

UPDATE ONE MONTH LATER! After one month and 11 days, just 11 days after the return window, it broke. It claims 350 pound weight capacity well that is major bs. This is my first review. And the reason you want to buy a good one in the first place because as I hd said it is very hard to get the old one out!! it seems to work fine so far. time will tell and if it breaks I will update this review. no instructions were included and my hubby had to really struggle to get the old defective cylinere out of the chair and didnt' know if he was doing it right for sure but he luckily guest right and got the new one in and it is fine so far.

I'm 6'2" and just got a new office chair. The new chair is great, but I found out it had very little height adjustment. It was too low at the highest setting! I took a risk and bought this replacement chair lift. After some pounding with a rubber mallet to get the other one out, this one is great because: 1. Fit chair perfectly 2. Worked with existing hardware for seat adjustment. 3. Not only gave me the few inches higher that I needed, but about 2-3 more. My guess is with a standard chair, that it would work for someone up to about 6'4" - 6'5". 4. Price was very reasonable 5. It shipped Prime, so I had it in 2 days. One of my best Amazon purchases this year. Very happy. Threw old lift in the trash.

This is a good product. However, I thought it was slightly longer than what I received. Potential buyers should pay attention to the all measurements. I didn't! Therefore, my purchase wasn't so productive.

Replaced on a leather office chair and works great. It's an old chrome/white Office-Max chair that we really like. Hopefully lasts as long as the original, but hated to get rid of the chair. Makes the chair usable again and matches the chrome.
