2012 Jetta Sportwagen w/ Pano sunroof. Challenging, but doable. Seems to work well
I installed this into my 2012 VW Jetta Sportwagen, and it seems to be a quality product and a good fit. I bought my car used with the sunroof shade material removed, so I was a bit surprised how mesh-like or open the shade material cloth was. I would have liked to to purchase a similar one that was beige on the inside, and reflective radiant material on the top, but whatever.Over all I am content with the product. I was attending to a leaky sunroof when I replaced this, so I had the entire headliner removed, which I suppose was helpful. I am a reasonably skillful non professional mechanic, and I was able to follow the provided instructions paired with information from forums and correctly install it all on my first try. I found the initial insertion of the brass "clock-work" spring into its channel to be quite harrowing, but ultimately it was not hard, just tricky, and I was able to to it all by myself.Good luck!

Horrible product.
I’m an Audi tech and I’ve done plenty of this sunroof shades and I will tell you is not worth buying this product. Tried it and the material just brakes instantly.

This product works except they shipped me a used holder
I received the package and clearly it was a refurbished the bolt hole has scratches and the end plastic has a broken part (2nd to the last photo). I decided not to return it because my old part still works so I just swapped it. For DIYers, please take a picture of the assembled piece before taking it apart. The insertion of the metal strip to the plastic channel is the only hard part. Its very easy as long as all the plastics are put back together and aligned. Anything not done properly, it wont work. I did it alone and I did it with a lot of patience. Don’t rush it. Lastly, be careful of the metal holder. All of the sides are so sharp. I had 5 cuts in my finger doing this. I’m just showing you 2.

Watch the video they provide and read below
This product works great on my car. Watch the video they provided. You do not need to take it out of the black casing. Keep it in the casing, the most important step is to take the plastic clips from it and leave the silver clips attached to the copper strip. Slide the copper into the track and click the plastic clips into the metal tab. Put the black u shaped plastic pieces back in place and add screws. Best to have three people doing this. One holding the black casing and two people putting the copper strips in simultaneously. This part is 620 dollars from Audi and another about 2000 to install it, huge money savings!!!

If you know what your doing, works great
You must be experienced to get this installed right, don’t be surprised if you destroy it your first time. I had to buy a second one. The second one I got on eBay for half the price, it’s an identical product, same symbols and stamps. Worked great. Looks good

Immediately bound up, decided to be a fool and buy it a second time.
Edited posted.First attempt : Seems like something isn't quite right. Took my time and did everything in the right order. Still bound up, and even if you see it binding and trying to back up and fix it, it just becomes a big mess. Nice to see they replaced the plastic clips (which broke on mine) with metal clips on the rail piece, but doesn't do much good when it binds up right away.Second attempt: I decided to be foolish, or at least the motto of never give up. So I bought it a second time. Watched their video repeatedly, took everything slower and took the metal clip out of the track piece. Made sure everything was lined up, (literally, triple checked everything). Got it after a long time of fidgeting with it. The sunshade is up and over the car, it goes back, but does not come forward have to move the metal bar manually... AT least, I have a sunshade and it's not super hot in the car anymore. Also there's a slight gap between the very front (don't recall if it was like that before).

It works
There's not much to this product. A piece of cloth with 2 thin metal springs glued to it. It's a bit aggravating to replace but looks good when done correctly. I can't believe it cost $1000 to get dealer to do it. It's a 2 man job.
