Bumkins Sleeved Bib for Girl or Boy, Baby and Toddler for 6-24 Mos

Bottom line - buy the bib Recently new mom here, so naturally I was flooded with cute baby bibs as gifts. Some were the traditional plastic bib with adjustable back ties and others were simple cloth bibs. Initially all these bibs seemed the same to me. But oh wrong I was! I didn't realize a 6 month old could be filled with as many opinions as mine. After many days of strapping him into his highchair, which he equates to the likes of being imprisoned, and strapping on one bib to another, I realized I in fact have a particular 6 month old. A bib with a pouch to catch the food particles he doesn't enjoy is a necessity. An easy to wipe down bib? Necessity. Adjustable closure to fit around his ever hefty growing neck? Necessity. I finally found a bib meeting all these parameters, but my little guy continued to make a mess. Perhaps the bib wasn't placed tightly enough around his neck due to all the rolls. Perhaps he was displeased with the color. Who knows. Other than feeding him in a bathtub the easiest solution seemed to be a sleeved bib. This bib has met all of my expectations and beyond! I can place it over his entire body and he thinks it's just another outfit piece, so I don't get many complaints. It can catch everything that dribbles out his mouth when he's too excited to focus on what's next to eat. The adjustable neck tie is great for his ever expanding neck. He seems to enjoy being able to lick food from the front AND the arms of the bib now. I can easily rinse it in the sink when he's finished and now I don't have to wash him in the sink too! Overall it's made me much happier, my little guy much happier, and saved quite a few outfits.

I was at wit's end with how to keep my kid's shirt from getting filthy after every meal. We had the bibs that can catch the food and we had the bandana bibs as well. We used all of them regularly but the smock has taken over because it really gives you full coverage of any skin/ shirt exposure which is amazing. My toddler walks away from meals unscathed. It's a lifesaver for nights when pasta with a red sauce is on the menu. Easy to rinse off after every meal but you do have to give it a couple hours to dry.

I absolutely love these love sleeved bibs. They are a life saver for my daughter’s clothes! She is 2.5 years old, and they still fit perfectly. She is average size for her age. Material is excellent quality. They are waterproof (at least as far as casual drips and little spills while eating). Colors are vibrant and patterns adorable. They go on from the front and tie behind the neck, making it easy on and easy off. The only tiny thing I would like changed is if the pocket catch food did not have a seam up the middle and was just one large pocket, but that really doesn’t matter.

Not my favorite compared to the Bibado smock bibs, but it does the job. This has strings to tie around the neck, but I prefer velcro to keep my other bibs closed, because it's hard to tie this one as well on a squirmy baby. Because of the loose neck line, more food gets on the collar of my baby's clothes than it does with the other smock bibs. It's a cute design, though, and I appreciate that I can wash it in the washing machine. The price also is nice!

Good for baby led feeding! It is soft and comfortable but water proof and keeps baby clean. I like that the wrist elastic is good quality and stays put. I hand wash in the kitchen sink after every use and I love that it air dries very quickly. Washed after breakfast and it is usually dry by lunch time. Once a week or so I throw it in the washing machine for extra cleaning. I just wish that the ties would hold a knot a bit tighter. It sometimes comes a bit loose while baby is eating (this doesn't cause it to fall off, but to get a little lower under the chin/neck - minor issue). The pattern (llamas) is super cute and I love the colors.

This bib is so cute! It’s lightweight, waterproof, and protects clothes from stains and spills.

These work to a point. I have 4 of these, used to have 5 but one accidentally made it into the dryer and the fabric and the liner separated — oops! They do work but my kid must have chubby wrists because they are starting to seem tight around them.. he’s had these awhile and only recently turned 1. I’d like to also mention he’s 40th percentile for weight so he’s not like a mega baby or anything. Anyways! He can spill things on himself and no liquid has ever made it to his clothes.. but the food catch doesn’t always catch and his pants always get dirty! My babe has also been doing BLW since 6 months so it could just be he’s a messy eater. Overall, I’m using mine and if something better comes along I’ll consider it but for now I’m not looking.

Easy to clean/wipe off. Can also go in your washing machine without any issues. I like how there is an elastic at the wrists so no food can get into my daughters sleeve. Quality is also good, color has not faded and we use it a few times a day with many wipes and have had it for 6 months. Would recommend.

I have bought two of these sleeved bibs because they are so easy to clean and dry really quickly. My daughter likes to feed herself and the purée goes everywhere except her clothes. The wrist opening secures tightly to prevent clothes from getting dirty and it ties at the back for a more adjustable fit. Because she is only six months, I also put a neck bib on under to prevent the neck on her clothes from getting dirty also, but as she gets bigger I probably won’t have to do this.
