For the money, nothing better!
I use this product every day in my basement simulator area at least 18 holes per day. It is holding up surprisingly well and I feel no shock in my wrists. The rough is not as "rough" as I would like but to have it at this price is a no-brainer.I use my own tees in the thickest part and have hit over 1000 balls on it since I got this past winter. It doesn't stay put on it's own so I bought a less expensive stance mat and created a cutout where this baby fits snug and I have no issues whatsoever hitting shot after shot. No movement at all.I will be purchasing another soon as I am on my second round of 1000 balls hit on the mat.

A review via comparison...
I'd already owned another golf mat when I ordered this one, made by a little-known company which will remain nameless as to not violate Amazon community policies. That said, I still thought the best way to approach this review would be a comparison of my experiences with this product versus the one I already had, which I'll refer to as “Mat B” throughout.I've included several photos for clarity, which I will describe in detail below:- The first is the two mats face up, side-by-side.Obviously, the Franklin mat is quite a bit larger overall, due to the fact it sports a 3rd hitting surface (although ”Mat B” is longer). Unfortunately for the Franklin mat, this is where its advantages end.The first thing I noticed was a total lack of reinforcement along the edges, while “Mat B” is surrounded by heavy-duty rubber, similar to what you''d find on certain types of “Welcome” mats. Excluding the Franklin's 3rd surface, the other two surfaces appear to be identical in material.- The second is once again the two mats, this time upside-down.The bottom of the Franklin mat is made of extremely soft foam rubber, while “Mat B” is made of the same rugged rubber as its edging. This is due to it being entirely one-piece. Also, although the Franklin mat is advertised as being “extra thick”, as it turns out “Mat B” is about 1/4” thicker.Notice the marks crossing the portion of the Franklin mat near the white label, and there are similar ones on the sides. This is straight out of the box, brand-new. Those were created by the thin plastic bag it's delivered in.If a plastic bag can have this effect, just imagine the damage a mishit shot could cause, especially if you accidentally make contact with the side of the mat using a driver at full-force. You also need to be on the lookout for any small debris on the ground when you place it down, as the Franklin's soft foam rubber bottom doesn't fare well with that sort of thing either. Lastly, forget about using it on anything but grass, for the same reason.- The third is the white tee that comes with this mat, pictured on the right side. Yes, you only get one.Beside it at left are the two black tees which come with “Mat B”. In addition to getting a pair, they are different heights, allowing you to simulate how deeply you may actually stick an actual tee into the ground on the golf course. The last comparison is pricing. The Franklin mat misses that mark by far as well, costing over twice as much as “Mat B”.Given all of this, there's no way this product is worth anywhere near the asking price. Remember, one of the primary uses of these mats will almost certainly be driving balls at full speed into a practice net. They absolutely need to be made of materials that can stand up to that sort of jolt, over long periods of time.Sometimes, you just can't trust a product because of a famous brand name, and this is one of them.

This practice mat give you 3 surfaces to practice on. I play around with it in the den since I am a novice Golfer and need the practice. You can tell a difference in how it feels with each surface and it is easy to use. The only thing I can find to complain about is that I don't like the placement of the hole but it's more of a challenge this way. It's light and easy to transport/store and cleaning is also easy. 4 stars!

Great mat for backyard practice
I got this mat to use in my backyard while practicing my chipping. This mat is made of great quality material. The 3 different grass lengths are perfect for determining your club speed and placement. The mat is big enough that you don't have to worry about your club coming of the end of the mat and hitting the surface below. A rubber tee is also included in this package which would work great if you have the distance to practice your drives. The mat itself is not that heavy at all; light enough to carry with one hand. I put my mat on some pricks that were laid in my backyard and I had no issues with the mat moving after each strike. I did not have any issues with also using it on grass. There are only 2 things that I wish could have been changed.1. The hole for the rubber tee is right in the middle of that section of the pad. It would have been nice if it could have been closer to the edge instead of right in the middle.2. The rubber tee is a general length which is great if your normal tee height is that high but if it is higher or shorter you either have to buy a separate tee or cut the one down.Nevertheless, this has not changed my overall opinion on this portable practice mat.I definitely recommend this mat if you are looking to have some different surfaces to practice on. Like I said, Great for backyard use. The price can't really be beat for the quality of this product. Great product overall!

My game might not be great, but this golf mat is
My first time using it in my backyard, I was hitting into a golf net. I managed to get so far under the ball that it popped over the net and went into the street. But the mat itself was great in that it let me make that mistake without breaking any of the fake grass or tee.
