50L/55L Internal Frame Packable Hiking Backpack with Rain Cover for Travel Climbing Camping Mountaineering Backpacking

The media could not be loaded. I was sent this bag as a free review sample and asked to share my honest thoughts. This bag is LARGE! It has a capacity of 50L which is just under 2 cubic feet. It is a hiking bag style and consists mainly of one very large main compartment which can be accessed from either the top or the bottom. There are mesh side pockets (which are nice and deep), two pockets on the top of the bag (one you access from outside and one from inside), and two very small side pockets (key size suitable) - mainly, though, this bag means business and has the standard large frame open compartment that, to me, typifies hiking bags.We have a number of frame backpacks in our home but this is the first hiking bag with the large mesh "board" support piece that I have tried. I am liking the feel of it, it provides structure and I feel like it helps to distribute the weight of the load without the bulky external tube frame that can dig into your arms/sides/upper legs if it hits you wrong. The support is still there but not as "in your face". The bag has many straps to help cinch it down, and the material is water repellant to help keep your contents dry in wet weather. I love the bright green webbing on it with the red contrast detail. It's cheerful without being obnoxious.I plan to have my 10 year old use this as his main camping bag, he is 54" tall and as you can see in the pictures the bag is large on him - but it works. :) Conclusion on this one? Very solid build quality, smooth zippers, plenty of thoughtful details - definitely on par with my bags from REI but at much more wallet friendly price point. I think you'll be happy with this bag if you give it a try.
