Works great for me
I had a P750wvp but had to donate it to another department so needed a replacement, I print stencils for metal etching so my options were rather limited. I don't typically need larger labels than the P750 can print but since I was buying a replacement and I was going to bill it to to the other department I decided to get the larger P950NW.So far everything has worked as good as my P750, actually better. I had a lot of problems getting the stencil tapes to work but they have been working great on this. The only problem I have that I have with all Brother label printers is the lead in and lead out, they use a lot of extra tape. I know the cutter is about an inch away from the print head but it's only an inch so maybe they could find a way to retract that inch after cutting.Other than that one thing, it works exactly the way I needed it to.

Will NOT use TZ tapes - No editor updates for older machines.
Brother told me this could use TZ tapes. It will NOT. Brother no longer makes a TZ tape printer. So if your TZ machine breaks down your library of TZ tapes becomes useless unless you can find a used machine. The TZe tape case is different. It has holes to allow pins to stick through the case where the TZ tape does not have these. I attempted to drill all the correct holes in one of my TZ tapes to see if it might still print the tape. Even though I was able to get the tape into the machine there must be some other niche that identifies the tape because the machine complained that it was not the proper tape and would not attempt to print.Brother does not care since they state that their tapes are only good for 15 months. So if your tape malfunctions or the glue does not work after 15 months Brother says it is not their problem.I only occasionally use these tapes but for a wide variety of uses. So I have over 30 TZ tapes. Some of them are 5-6 years old and still print and stick as well as the new TZe tapes. Not happy with Brother for not giving people like me any other option for a new machine.Another problem with Brother is if you have an older machine they will not allow you to use their newer editors. They told me it was because it would not work. That is NOT true. Able to get a hold of the newer editor and guess what it works fine on my PT-9200X. With each update of Windows they keep dropping machine support. The old machines still use their tapes. Why does this company have such a bad attitude towards its customers?

Flawless
Well, I am an IT person and have the know how to set this type of things up. This machine is perfect. I look forward to using it for many years to come. I like things organized and neat. Hopefully this gadget with help me mitigate some of the chaos and bring about some order is a stylish manner. I am not selling or advertising and have nothing to do with the seller or the company.

This printer and the Brother Customer service is not worth your money!
I was looking to upgrade my Brother PT-9500PC printer to the latestest and "greatest" printer Brother has to offer. The first once I recevieded consistently printed voids in my labels that print perfect in the older printer. After contacting Brother about this issue they had me upload the file I was trying to print to determine the issue. After the reviewed my open issue they sent me a replacement printer...that has the exact same issue. It appears they never tested to duplicate my issue that I was experiencing even though they asked for the file. They eventually sen me to their software department and at a certain point they all together quit responding to my issues so I had to return both printers and never received any sort of way to resolve my issue. I am hoping to find a replacement printer with a different company at this point as dealing directly with Brother was highly unprofessional.

Do Not Buy! - All Problems!
This by far is the worst roll out of a product I have ever seen. We bought not one, not two, but THREE of these at work. The first one crashed after every print. You had to power it off and on to get it to reset for the next label. The second and third units could not be recognized either by USB or via Ethernet on our network. Even inputting the correct node name with the correct drivers installed could this unit be recognized. We even used BR Admin Pro 3 to help us scan the network with no luck. Previously we had a model that unfortunately was discontinued but worked like a champ until it needed the cutter replaced (which we did). It was the PT-9800PCN. That model was out for years and worked really well. Obviously this newer model has other bells and whistles in addition to accepting other tape formats but what good is it if the unit is a failure. We spent weeks with all three units and could not get any of them to work properly (or at all). Even Brother's website has changed. Now when you search for support on older units, it returns invalid responses with the wrong unit. It's too bad. The previous model (and website) worked flawlessly. Why break it? Obviously not enough R&D went into this model nor did the web developer check the consistency with their code. Maybe Brother is going through cutbacks but for a product we rely on every day for our business, this is worrisome. We print over a thousand labels every few weeks so we may have to think about a backup plan if our PT-9800PCN dies. Hopefully they'll find and fix the issues.
