Just kidding, but it does work well for fishing out nails on a recently rebuilt dock..

I bought this as a gift for my nephew so I don’t have 1st hand knowledge. My nephew told me the he and his 11 yr old son are having fun using it. They fished from a bridge and while they have found nothing of value, (scrap metal and rebar), they are have a good time together. They also like the feeling that they are helping to clean up junk from the water way. He said the magnet is very powerful and the nylon rope is strong. He also liked that you can use the magnet as a double or single sided. Since it’s in a carrying case he leaves it in his truck so they can use whenever they see a good spot for “fishing”. He has no complaints and likes the excitement of seeing what you caught and he especially likes the bonding time with his son.

Man did not know how heavy the magnet was. Going to get a good work out. The gloves are thin and really ads no protection. The hook is small and seems weak. I will have to get a better longer rope. Yet the rope they give is a good starter till I get used to the heaviness of the magnet.

Very pleased with my Magnet Fishing Kit. All of the pieces are good quality and the hard top carrying case makes it very easy to move around with.

Says 700 lbs. Must be the strength of the rope. The magnet is very weak. I don't think it will be of much use.

I returned the item because it said it would pick up a large amount of weight but when I stuck it to a flat piece of Steel I was able to lift it off myself. Although I did not actually measure it with a scale I do not think I am able to pick up that weight.

Really disappointed with this. Not as much pulling power as stated. We have another much smaller magnet with a third of the pulling power that out performs this one.

I used it for a rock magnet and it worked great!

Arrived on time. Magnet looked used, scratched. No Loc tight supplied as shown. Had to buy my own. Disappointed.
