I bought this product prior to eye surgery that is still upcoming. The eye shield is necessary and I believe it will be quite helpful. I will not use it with the strap provided, though. I tried that out one night and the strap slips down uncomfortably. After Googling eye shields, I learned that nearly all are secured with paper tape, and that's how I'll secure mine.

Used after Lasik Eye Surgery for sleeping. Works well but the pull clasp is a little uncomfortable. However, it is a functional item at a great price.
