I volunteer for a non-profit called Discovery Clubs. It is an afterschool Bible club that teaches elementary school kids about God, Jesus and the Bible. The kids love listening to the stories. We have also developed a lesson plan that corresponds with the stories in the Storybook Bible. I highly recommend this Bible for your elementary age children to help them learn about God, Jesus and the Bible.

The cover is a beautiful blue cloth-like textured hardcover with gold foil accents. The book is also bigger and offers larger page sizes (about 1 inch both in height and in width). The illustrations and text are all just scaled up (which means it offers larger illustrations and a larger font size), which is great for reading to a family and/or group. This edition remains the same thickness/page count as the previous editions.Our family started out with The Jesus Storybook Bible in the Deluxe Edition (with CDs) - and we have loved it! We keep the CDs in the car at all times and have loved reading the book together.If you have not yet experienced The Jesus Storybook Bible - it is fabulous! It is a storybook Bible, so you need to keep in mind that this is written as a "story" and the author may take some liberties in descriptions of events, etc. What I love is that every story finishes with a tie back to Jesus. Even as an adult, I have learned from The Jesus Storybook Bible, and I love that my kids have it as part of their foundation.I would love to see the larger book size of The Jesus Storybook Bible (Keepsake Gift Edition) paired with the audio CDs as a set - that would be the best combination, in my opinion.FTC Declaration: The publisher has provided me with a complimentary copy of this book or advanced reading copy. Good binding nice job on the Bible stories

Judging by the cover it will do very nicely.

Obviously they won’t really be able to read this to their little one until they are a few years older or unless they have an older sibling, but it’s still my go-to book for baby showers. This is my very favorite children’s picture story Bible. So uniquely illustrated, and very well written. Every story does truly point to Jesus, and in ways that I never even realize as an adult until I read this. My son asked Jesus into his heart one night after reading the story about the conversion of Paul from this Bible. He said he wanted to have a heart like Paul’s! 🥰 I love this cover better than the regular one, and lately, they’ve been the same price anyway. I like to have one of these on hand for gifting, so I’d buy a couple while they’re on sale.

I LOVE this book! The Storybook Bible came highly recommended from several FB friends when I asked for an educational resource to teach my 6-year-old daughter about the Bible. I wish my parents had given me this book when I was growing up!I have purchased other Bibles like “The Beginner’s Bible” and several Veggie Tales books... and none compare to The Storybook Bible. It’s written like a collection of stories, similar to a bedtime story collection would be.From the beginning, in the intro, they set the tone by explaining that the Bible was not written to be used as a rule book, but is a love story... a true love story about God’s love for us. That simple intro was enough to gain my daughter’s trust and interest. They make it clear that their writing style isn’t meant to be another lesson... but also wasn’t just a hard-to-grasp psalm either. It’s about a captivating adventure, a love story, and a collection of historical miracles... all-in-one. It is written in a way that is easy for a 6-year-old to understand... without shying away from important concepts that are critical to a solid foundational understanding of the whole picture.Also, this gift edition is beautiful! Its bright blue cover with gorgeous gold details make a perfect gift!
