An alternative to the original YakStick Mud Anchor, the lightweight YakGear – YakStick Floating Stake-Out Stick provides effortless and silent anchoring in shallow waters. Available in 6ft, stake-Out sticks are a preferred anchoring method in shallow coastal waters as well as in shallow lakes and streams. The new multi-purpose handle design allows for a firm grip when pushing through a variety of hard bottoms and can be flipped around to be used as a push pole mud foot or push off. The YakStick shaft is made of 7/8″ vertical and horizontal pultrusion-formed fiberglass, giving it unsurpassed strength. Its handle and point are made of rigid nylon and best of all, it floats!Add your favorite Railblaza camera accessories to get all new views, videos, and shots. The Railblaza RailMount 19-25 for shaft with Camera Mount Kit and/or you can use the Railblaza Camera Adaptor for the top handle. You will need to supply a 1/4 x 20 x 1″ threaded pan head screw. Review: Solid with just the right amount of flexibility. Highly recommend! Review: So glad I finally got the YakStick! I had been using a 3.5lb. anchor that worked okay, but this has been so much easier for me. I put it through the scupper hole in the front of my kayak and I stay put. I like the fact that I don't move around like my old anchor, & I can pull up to where I want and stake my kayak quietly without spooking any fish. Wasn't sure if it was gonna be tall enough but it is perfect for inshore fishing. I have a Bimini top for my yak and if I went with the taller stake I think it might get more in the way so I am glad I went with the 6 ft. option.

This thing is perfect for fishing the flats in the sounds of the Outer Banks of NC! Don't overthink it, just buy it. A bit spendy, but it was worth it because it works.

Well made and does exactly what I need it to do. I use this for inshore saltwater fishing around Galveston. I use it with an anchor trolley and attach the pole using a bungee rope to keep me stationary. Use the spiky end to stake out and the paddle end to push pole. I'm not sure how durable the tip that goes into mud is, as it's plastic, but time will tell. Really, the only complaint I have is the foam near the top tore off the second or third time I used it, but I don't need it anyway so it's no biggie.

We couldn't wait to use our Yak-Sticks. We didn't get to use them last year because the water level was low. After only the second use this year, one broke. The very next weekend the other stick broke. We put in at a sand bar with no wake.
