Best off the shelf boot you can buy IMO.
Best boots I have ever wore off the shelf. Last a year for me but I don't take care of them like I should. Don't oil don't dry out. I live in my boots pretty much year round. Field welding Construction Work and hiking around the Washington State woods after . I wear out the soles faster than the boot can wear out. If I took better care of them and turned in for new soles when needed they definitely last ALOT longer. But I'm lazy so just wear them till sole wears off then but another. My feet never hurt with these boots compared to every other boot I have tried off the shelf. They are warm but I tend to have cold feet so I love them. Fire stompers are great too but only where when very hot out.

Highly recommended by a Friend and exceeds my expectations!
The boots arrived and after removing them from the package I immediately noticed how light weight they were, but extremely well made. I was concerned about the design due to the rigid looking exterior. I decided to wear them for one full day inside my home as not to damage the product in case i needed to return due to sizing issues. After two hours of wearing it was apparent that the boots became more comfortable and like a friend had told me, "they start to feel like you have that comfortable pair of tennis shoes, like an old friend". Now I am not going to say that the break in period will be immediate, and the company gives directions on breaking in. Also I purchased their Kenetrek waterproofing boot wax after seeing their warning to not use mink oil or any other type of waterproofing. I am not the typical consumer since I have been in several accidents which altered my right foot and ankle. This brand and boot style exceeds my expectations and comfort and I have decided that the boots are too nice to wear at work and they will be exclusive to hiking/hunting and when I am on snow removal operations. THANK YOU KENETREK ! I cannot wait to get my next pair on non-insulated this next Spring 2023~!

My new favorite boot
I anguished over what new boot to buy after my old favorites (mendles) wore out. I am a large guy who spends a ton of time hiking and hunting. I need good support due to aging ankles, knees etc.I gave these a shot. Wow. Extremely comfortable out of the box. Perfect support and I consider them an upgrade to my previous favorites. Traction seems great.Insoles are adequate for average person, however I will be upgrading. Laces and hooks are great. I am between an 11.5 and 12 with dinners and Keens. Got the 12m and they fit perfectly with hunting socks. Expensive but seem with it to me.Very happy with this purchase3/20/2023 update: Be careful walking down wooden stairs, deck, wooden bridges...any treated, weathered decking. Especially if it is looking green from algae. Or think of those little wooden bridges you sometimes run across when out hiking state forests. You are taking your life into your own hands!!!. You can climb a 90 degree mountain slope with extreme confidence in these boots. But try walking down wooden deck steps that are damp with morning dew...and you risk life and limb!

The best
Very nice boots… a little bulky getting used to but super warm and comfortable. Little expensive but WORTH every penny!!!

They performed better than I imagined
I ordered these boots for a last minute Idaho elk hunting trip in country that would make a Nepalese Sherpa shudder. After a 2 mile break in the day I received them, I nervously strapped them on at the trailhead for a 9 day back country hunt. They performed better than I imagined. Fit well but a little wider than I expected. No blisters at all after being in them for 9 straight days daylight to dusk, sometimes longer. Waterproof; stepping in creeks and hiking in slushy snow yielded at worst clammy feet at the end of the day. It wasn't super cold but for a late October hunt in the Rockys the 400g of insulation was perfect. Great arch support and nice stiff boot, so the overall foot fatigue was low (even though the rest of my body was wrecked!!). Even got stomped a few times while leading mules to and from camp and meat packing, and feet came out unscathed.Don't hesitate to buy these if you understand the value of great footwear in the Mountains and want the best available boot for an extreme mountain hunting trip.

Not good on ice
These are a good quality boot and give good support. I wear them very often. Then only issue is that at the back part of the heel there is no grip and when walking on ice with fresh snow, the boots cannot grip. I have fallen three times in such circumstances while walking and wearing these boots around town. So, wear spikes with them!

Worth the money
I spent the fall and summer scrambling for new boots once I realized my old pair were killing my feet.I'm a big guy but get out and walk during game seasons. I was able to put many a mile on these boots on uneven ground. The sole makes them far superior to any other boot I've worn. I'd have never been able to hunt as hard as I did this year without them. They are far and away the best boot I've worn. The only downside is that the stiff sole makes traction on wet ground a bit treacherous. I can't feel when I'm standing on a stick under wet grass like I could on the old boots. So you need to pay more attention to where you are going or standing on.
