Rock Solid & Simple Design, Perfect
I'm shocked at some of the reviews I've read here about the Lume Cube 30" Adjustable Webcam Stand. This is the perfect stand for webcam use where you want to place your camera in front of your monitor at the perfect eye level height for video conferencing (instead of just placing your camera on top of your monitor or something else, which may not be ideal to get correct webcam eye level for the best results)I'm impressed with the solid aluminum design, adjustability options, and ease of use. I bought this for video conferencing with my webcam but will also have no problem trusting this stand to safely hold up my much heavier DSLR camera in space confined situations, it is plenty strong enough for both. Before purchasing I read many of the reviews here on Amazon with a handful of customers who had some kind of a problem with locking the three "tripod" legs in place, or something about the legs collapsing and that there was a design problem with this stand...... Either those folks received a defective product or they are just clueless. The legs lock in place solidly with a locking ring, no collapsing is possible, the design prevents that from happening. But I have to admit, there were no instructions to follow, you have to figure that out on your own, "turn the locking ring a quarter turn to lock the legs in place". That's it. Don't know why people couldn't figure that out, it is a no brainer. After shopping for a webcam stand like this at high end photography shops and similar stores, I highly recommend the Lume Cube 30" Adjustable Webcam Stand for video conferencing if you want to present your video image to others by way of the best camera placement possible.Zapper out.02/09/2022

Cool!
I just needed a way to elevate my webcam up a foot or two, this thing is pretty nice! Folds up quite nicely, so well-suited for travel or when packed away. The three legs stay in place well and have rubber on the parts that contact the surface it sits on so it doesn’t feel like it will slide around. The extensions on height just pull out, no button or latch or anything. But it’s stiff enough that it won’t collapse down unintentionally, not with a webcam anyway. A small camera or maybe a DSLR could sit on it and it would hold position.Little 1/4-20 threaded ball head mount gives you control over angle which is also an important feature.Fit and finish is nice. All in all, pretty great little item.Edit: 7/2021 - On a smooth desk with a webcam on it, the little tripod legs do tend to slide out from very little messing around, like aiming your camera. Then you straighten them up and carefully try not to sink it again…. Really wish they clicked into place more or locked or something.
