This is a GREAT question! Crayfish, Prawn, and Shrimp belong to the same family and are crustaceans but have many variations including their production countries. In Nigeria, these names are used interchangeably .This is actually ground Crayfish for Africans but is named CRAWFISH for Americans. Nutritionally, shrimp and crayfish are the same and hence name has been used interchangeably for Nigerians over time. This is ground crayfish.Hope this helps.
