With my first baby, I was against bassinets. I only wanted him in his crib, in his nursery. My second son is a Velcro baby. He always wants to be near me! We bought this bassinet for the design, size and price. Update: took this out to use with our second and love it just as much as the first time! Sturdy, easy setup/takedown and solid sleep surface!We’ve been using this bassinet daily for naps and overnight sleep for over 2 months now and absolutely love it. I was initially looking for a simple bassinet with mesh side walls but a solid mattress unlike many of the other portable bassinets out there. I also didn’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on a fancy bassinet and took a chance on this one. I have not regretted it for one moment!The bassinet itself sets up in minutes. Pop the legs on and it’s ready to go. Once set up its quite sturdy and because of the way the sleeping area hangs it allows you to rock the baby if needed. It comes with one sheet but I ended up sewing a few for myself since the one it comes with is polyester and a boring ivory color. The mattress is covered in a plastic outer which makes cleanup a breeze. The pocket at the end is very useful for storing extra sheets. While it doesn’t have wheels, I’ve found it is able to slide pretty easily over out berber carpet in our bedroom. It is very portable and travels nicely in the bag that comes with it. The fabric unzips very easily for cleaning as well.My son has had no trouble sleeping so it seems like the mattress is comfortable enough for a 2 month old. The only thing I have noticed is that if I don’t have the hard portion of the mattress perfectly positioned in the base of the sleeping area he sometimes tends to gravitate towards the lower side, though it is not a noticeable slant by any means. He’s a squirmer when he sleeps and it really has not been a huge issue.Two months of using for many hours a day and the bassinet looks and functions just as well as it did the day we got it.

This bassinet is super easy to put together and take apart and is light enough to move around the house as needed. It is very stable, but it can slide pretty easily on a hard floor (this could easily be remedied with skid stopping stickers on the bottom of the feet).The mattress pad provided is about 3/4" thick and a perfect sturdiness for a baby. I did buy softer cotton sheets to use with it as the one provided is a synthetic material, but nicely waterproof too.What attracted me to this model is the fact that the mattress pad is NEVER folded so it will never buckle and become uncomfortable for baby's back. It makes for a little larger travel bag design but that's perfectly fine because it's still easy to carry.The height of the bassinet is also very nice. The top of it sits right up to the top of my mattress and the all mesh sides allows for good air flow and eye sight for baby.This is a no frills bassinet but definitely has the quality that Chicco is known for. Overall I am very happy with this purchase!

Bassinet came as expected. It is very easy to assemble, and is lightweight, so very easily portable. The mattress, however, came bent/flat/unstructured and just seemed very cheap quality to me. My husband thought it was fine, but I decided to reach out to Chicco customer support to request a new mattress. The new mattress came, and is much higher quality than the crap one they sent me originally. My husband even said that I was justified in requesting a new mattress. Just putting this out there for anyone who gets a sub-par mattress. I feel much better using the replacement Chicco sent me. I also appreciated customer support, they got back to me quickly and shipped a new mattress in a timely fashion.

Quality product easy to put together and take apart nice for travel !

We LOVE this. Very easy to put together, very easy to clean, and baby sleeps so good in it! Also easily taken down and put back up. I plan to buy this for anyone I know who gets pregnant and is looking for a bassinet!

I love this bassinet! I'm a first-time mom and did way too much research on bassinets before deciding on this one. I love the mesh sides--my baby has been rolling on his side since he was 2 days old, so the mesh is a necessity for us. I love that the bassinet is bed-height so it's easy to lean over and see my baby and pull him out when needed. It comes with a sheet and I was able to find more on Amazon that fit the mattress as well, and I love that the mattress is waterproof and wipes down so easily (no need for a mattress cover). It's firm but not TOO firm. I can reach over at night and rock the mattress if needed to help calm the baby. It is easy to move around in our small apartment, it has a pocket for some storage, and it is transportable without having a folding mattress. I also think it just looks nice--I like the minimalist look to it. Overall I would definitely buy this again!
