Found: Psalm 23 (The Story of God’s Great Love)

We love the Jesus Story Book bible series and were thrilled to see these individual smaller books (great for bedtime stories). It has beautiful illustrations and breaks down Psalm 23 well. We got one for our own child and got a couple to give as presents to expecting mothers and friends.

Let me just tell you, I think this is hands down one of the sweetest most loving and adorable little book. It means so much to me. The illustrations are just as tender and true as the message it holds. While simple, it is sharing profound truth that will hopefully be ingrained into my little kiddos as they grow older and come to know the Lord in this way. Please get this for every little kid you know and speak it over them tenderly. It’s beautiful and just the best!

This whole series is notably sweet and this one is a favorite. I love the endearing illustrations but more-so the thoughtful, poetic paraphrase created for the youngest audience. Can't wait to share these with grandchildren--certain I won't tire of reading them. "God is my Shepherd. And I am his little lamb."

Sally Lloyd Jones and Iago have done it again! If you haven't read the Jesus Storybook Bible- stop now and purchase! It's worth every cent. Sally Lloyd-Jones retells timeless biblical stories in a way that simplifies the core message beautifully. Iago's talent and genius shine forth in all his work. I'm a firm believer that adults are not too grown up to read well made children's books. I adore this book. This is such a beloved passage. God's word is sacred. In this book, the meaning of God's word has been not changed (no, no way), but the method of communication has been re-tooled and re-imagined. Excellent for children and adults alike. I have used this book in my work with English as second language speakers who want to learn more about the Bible. They read the story in their own language at home, and then when we meet up we read in English and discuss. In summary: it's amazing and beautiful and I think that this book should be in every Christian's home library with a spare to give away as a gift.

Beautifully illustrated and written.

This book is a precious, beautiful, lyrical, and profound retelling of Psalm 23 in the incredible style of Sally Lloyd Jones, but with images and words that even a 2 year old can enjoy yet isn’t too simple for an adult to appreciate. Truly delightful to read this presentation of Biblical truths. A favorite in our home and one we’ve gifted at countless baby showers as well!

Ojalá pronto esté la edición en español para poder regalar este libro a otro niños aquí en México.

This book is delightful for teaching little ones the truths of Psalm 23. I read it before nap time every day I babysat my grandson, and incorporated a few actions, and now my grandson and I share it with his little sister before her nap time. The abiding presence of the Good Shepherd all their days is portrayed beautifully. (And be sure to “count” the sheep on the final page - clever reflection of 23 sheep!)
