Excellent support
A little challenging to put on, but it's worth the trouble for the amount of ankle support and comfort it offers.

Keeps my ankle from rolling
This brace is amazing. I can't believe the price is less than 40 dollars. I am a nurse and this thing is super supportive and good quality. I have worn it on many 12 hour shifts. I even wore it to a water park several times, and it stays on in the water, and going down waterside. I even walked around the water park without my shoes on for the lines, and I was shocked that I didn't have to get a new brace at the end of the day. I have 2 braces so I can wash one when the other is dirty. I wash it in a laundry bag, then hang it up to dry. I have had them 8 months and I am just now needing to replace 1 as it is starting to loose shape. The loss in shape has not effected its function, but I am paranoid, and cannot be without one if needed. I fully expected to have to replace this brace every other month as most braces don't, last that long with daily wear. It will put extra wear and tear on your shoes, but that is expected. If you only need this short term, then I recommend cheap shoes. You will need a sports shoe, and if the laces are short you will have to replace them. This brace also goes on super easy, you don't have to pull it over your sore or swollen ankle. It velcros open and closed, then you succure the support structure. Love, love love this brace.

Nice brace
I used this as an alternative for my walking boot for a broken foot. kept my foot from flexing and limited movement while I was not walking on it. Provided the stability I needed. A little difficult to get into. I wear a women's size 6 shoe, and ordered a medium. Still the neoprene sleeve was a little tight but it worked fine. The bottom VelcroStraps were great, but it he strap around the ankle was very difficult to loosen once it was on. Hard to slide it through the plastic loops.

Best ankle brace
The brace may seem complicated at first to use (it has a ton of very sticky velcro) but it keeps my ankle supported. I had tendon repair surgery on my ankle and it has caused problems ever since. So on days when my ankle is sore, I slide on. Please note: if you have large ankles the very bottom of velcro tab that closes around the base (back side of ankle) is short. It will stretch a bit but not much, also, because of the hard plastic stabilizers alot of shoes won't fit unless you have a shoe with a really wide top. I ended up wearing flip flops aka slip ons and a pair of boots I could shove my foot in on colder days. I have several of these. The base is like a neoprene and provides some really nice compression to help with swelling.

Buy a size up
The reason for the three stars is because it is really too small for me, making it hard to get on and feel comfortable…once I get it on it does the job. I have torn ligament..where the bar is on the inside of my ankle hurts it when I walk, so I took a piece of form and lay it there to help me, the actual slip in is extremely tight, have a very hard time attaching the back together..so that tells me it is to small….i should have read more reviews…

Comfortable and Perfect for Performance
I destroyed my ankle in September and had a dance performance in early February. While I could dance as long as I had a fully supportive splint or brace on, my regular brace (and EVERY other one I found) was black, which meant it would stand out during performances.I had a bit of trouble figuring out to get it on the first time (I didn't see all the spots it had adjustment or opening velcro), but once I knew how to put it on and fully adjust it, it was quite comfortable (as far as braces are concerned). The second day I wore it was a really long day of rehearsal and performance, and it held up fantastically. I had no discomfort from the splint, and I didn't have to do anything special to keep it concealed. I will continue to perform in a splint for at least five more months, and this is a lifesaver for keeping my ankle safe without extra steps.

Not recommended if your foot is swollen
I purchased this because I'm recovering from a severe sprain. I thought it would be perfect. I was wrong. I liked the product itself, but I would not recommend this if your foot is swollen. The opening for the toes is quite small and can cut the circulation off to your toes if your foot is swollen.I purchased a small as I wear a 6 size shoe, it was way too small, I went ahead and purchased a size larger thinking it would be bigger in the toe area, it wasn't.If you are needing this just for support, I would say buy it. If you need it to help you recover from an injury, I would not buy it.

Great brace!
Good transition after an ankle boot... takes a while to put on but comfy and supportive. Kind of a pain with typical shoes though (crocs were the best)
