Easy to drink, kids don't mind it at all. Seems to help keratosis pilaris.
I bought this after reading about keratosis pilaris (chicken skin) and noticing that several of my kids had slightly rashy (skin colored/not red small bumps) cheeks all the time. I also wanted to see if I could get my kids taking cod liver without it being a big ordeal, and it worked. Taste: I tried this first before giving it to my kids, and it really does just taste like oil with a very light lemon taste. I didn't notice anything fishy at all with it. I have put this in several different drinks (eggnog, orange juice,) and the kids said it tasted like the drink that the oil was in. It's definitely not noticeable lemon, even in the eggnog. Serving: I have a 100 pack of little medicine cups, and I usually measure the oil into those and then add other liquid. My husband has a cod allergy so I don't want to have a bunch of cod oil dishes sitting in my sink. For our toddler, I have mixed this with honey or juice and sucked it up in a medicine syringe and he was okay with swallowing the oil that I squirted into his cheek (no spitting it out or anything). Nutrition: I have heard so much about fermented cod liver oil being the best thing ever, but I thought this would be better than nothing. Also, I'm pretty sure this is not only less expensive, but also easier for the kids to take because it's nearly flavorless. As far as the keratosis pilaris, when we took this consistently, their cheeks did get better! Then I forgot this in the back of the fridge and one or two of them look like they have a little bit of rashiness back. It's less noticable than before (though it was never VERY visible in the first place). As far as immunity, after their first week of taking it, 3 out of 5 of my kids got a stomach bug. I'd stopped supplementing with d3, thinking this would be better... but d3 seems to help us more with resisting stomach virsuses.

surprised!
I am so pleasantly surprised after trying this product! I was really grossed-out at the idea when buying this, but I decided to make my kids take it anyway :-) When I got the bottle, I opened it not knowing what I would smell. In the past whenever I have taken "omega 3" and fish oil caplets, I have been so sick from the recurring fish after-taste that I really couldn't commit to taking them. I was worried it would simply be a lemony flavor trying to cover up that awful fishy taste. After reading the reviews, I went on faith of the other reviewers and ordered this product. The smell is light and lemony. I admit I made my 9 year old daughter take it first - she had no preconceived notions about it having a fishy taste, or even what it was for that matter - I just told her it was a healthy vitamin lemon oil. Went down no problem, no yuck face, I was amazed! I really kept watching her to see if she would say something about a fish taste. Nothing! What they don't know won't hurt them! So this morning, I laid out a spoon at each of their spots at the table, along with their gummy vitamins. Matter of factly said "we are taking this every morning with our vitamins, from now on" My 5 year old looked a bit suspicious, but I tipped it in his mouth with a smile and handed him the gummies. Not a single complaint. OMGoodness. How easy. After they left for school, I tried it myself b/c I was really more worried about my own preconceived "mental aversions" and I have to honestly say, I can do this. It is much easier that swallowing the vitamins and supplements I take every day. Mind over matter! I am so happy to have this in out diets, living in upstate NY, we are outdoors year round, but in the winter we are covered head to foot in clothing. Will happily reorder! Update: After taking this oil for a couple weeks we are doing great! I bought a bag of those hard sour-lemon candies, put them in a zip-lock bag and used my meat tenderizer to break into small pcs. Now, after taking the oil, my kids love getting a little lemon chip to suck on and get the oily feeling replaced with a sour lemon candy taste.

Helps with mood and reduces "stimming" behaviors
This has been like a miracle for us. My 5.5-yr-old son was having a horrible time in Kindergarten. We discovered he has sensory issues. We started OT to help and also epsom salt baths in the evenings, which helped him fall asleep under 30 minutes at night rather than the 45 it was taking him to wind down. But within two weeks of starting this oil daily, we noticed a real miracle. A stimming behavior he's had for three years (plucking at his eyelids multiple times in a conversation and while watching TV) has just DISAPPEARED. He's also having a much better time at school, not going to the principal's office daily for disruptive behavior. I am truly, truly amazed. I give this to all three of my kids at the same time, half way through breakfast and dinner I just walk around the table with the 1/2 tsp and tell them to open up. For the first week I had to promise them a piece of their halloween candy after taking it, but I have just been very calm that we are all taking our "lemon oil" to help us stay healthier this winter, and now they are used to it with no fuss and no need for a treat after. I have also noticed an improvement in my 3-yr-old's eczema. Dad and I also take it with them, which helps them not fight us. We give them a half tsp twice a day and each take a teaspoon (although there are days I just give it to the kids because it is really expensive). However, I am so amazed at my son's response to it and the sudden reduction in his stimming, I KNOW it must help. I am debating whether to switch to Carlson's Finest Fish Oil for the higher Omega 3s, but I also really like that this gives them the vitamin D that the pediatrician always wants them to have. I wish I had started this two years ago!

My child loves the taste of it. I am glad that I finally can give him some of these healthy oils and he nicely takes it.

We started to use CLO to boost immune sistem and prevent illneses. I believe it helped so far. It has lemon flavour, though we have some difficulties giving it to our daughter. She spits it out.i believe because of its oiliness. So far it's ok. We'll continue taking it.
