These are gorgeous place mats however I got a surprise I didn't expect - it's not a solid sheet of vinyl but comprised of vinyl woven in a pattern with tiny holes through out. I bought this primarily as a mat to go under a beautiful white porcelain water fountain for my cats to drink out of so being a barrier to water was important, but as it is placed up on a table at least I can use it to prevent scuffs to the wood from the bottom of the fountain so it's not useless. I'll just need to be super vigilant about spills to keep the wood from warping. It is very pretty underneath the foundation though.On a side note I bought 2 packs with the other intended use as for place mats for the up coming holidays - they will set a beautiful table, so if that is your only goal you are good. They truly are lovely.

These added just the right extra touch to the table on Thanksgiving. They went well with our rust tones and crystal. They are well made, good quality and durable. I was on the fence about ordering them and did so as a last minute decision…so glad I ordered them.

This product is high quality and classy with any table cloth .

I'm in the catering business and used these as tray liners so when staff picks up plates they don't skid off the tray. very pretty! and have texture but not too much that putting a champagne glass (for example) on top of one of them would topple over. I used to use paper doilies on the trays and went through dozens every job , now these will work and are washable.
