Great, Economical Rubber Reins
I love these reins. I bought them to match my bridle, which came with lovely laced reins. The problem is that I really don't like laced reins. They get filthy fast and I hate cleaning them.So I ordered these instead and they're perfect. Nice and supple and well-made. I had a little trouble getting rein stops on but I expected that since they're rubber. They are nice and grippy and I am thrilled that I can wipe them off with anything to clean them. They are also soft enough that I have not had them give me blisters when I decide to forgo gloves, which is really nice as we've had some nice days approaching the 60s even in December and January and I don't always want gloves on.I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for a nice but inexpensive pair of rubber reins.

Good looking and well constructed -- would definitely buy again
Best reins! I have never used rubber reins before and was so delighted by these on my first ride I'm having a hard time even imagining going back to smooth leather again. These are about an inch wide and very grippy. My horse has a tendency to lean on my hands, which with smooth leather reins was his sneaky way of getting away from the bit. He'd lean, the reins would slip a little, and after a moment or two, no more contact. With the rubber reins, I could feel when he would do this and give him a gentle squeeze with my hands...no more leaning and he was carrying himself much better.Highly recommended!

Rusty Reins
I really like these reins. The leather (around the bit and the end of the reins) breaks in easily and nicely. The only, ONLY...only aspect I would enhance is the rubber part of the reins. I think they should come in at least two textures - larger dot-grips and smaller dot-grips. Otherwise, great - best to wear gloves since the rubber gets slippery when you sweat.

Worked well for me
I had a pair of Nunn Finer which were really high quality but , for some reason Nunn Finer makes their reigns very long so they weren't working well with my Arabs neck. Bought these and they work well and blend fairly well with the Nunn Finer bridle. Leather is decent quality and rubber portion seems well made. The hook studs were not particularly well formed but, other than that, these are good reigns for the price.

Good grip, good quality
Love the reins. Bought them to use for a friend who is an inexperienced rider to help her keep her grip on the reins. She loved it and they did a good job. well made. I have no clue about longevity but from the quality construction I'd think they would last as long as any other rubber type rein. As a trail rider I like to use snaps on the ends and I was able to attach those easily on these reins. Definitely would buy again.

Rubber reins
They seem very nice and made well. Very comfortable in my hands. I don’t know if rubber is covering leather. Remember when you would recover leather reins with new rubber? Hopefully, it has a strong fiber under the rubber. I wish the company would have stated that.

great reins, love em
perfectly matched my black bridle, great feel to them -- just the perfect amount of weight and suppleness. These reins are ready to ride as soon as you open them -- they will NOT rip up your hands. Love em.

The reins are a perfect thickness for my female hand and the rubber portion ...
The reins are a perfect thickness for my female hand and the rubber portion is just grippy enough to stay consistent in the contact
