A worthy gem
I had to wait for this to go on sale from the original retail price of $800, but it was worth it. The set is crafted out of quality mateials in loving detail. It really feels like a item worthy of passing down and making memories with the family. I hope they can build the same fond memories watching the films that I have.

Best edition for this series!
Firstly, this is a great product and it came in great condition with only a minor issue. These all have been stored for a very long time and most of the gold on the book cover cases has faded to silver. In my opinion it looks just as great and adds even more to the worn and well cared for aesthetic they were going for.For the actual use of the product: It is all beautifully designed and the discs are all tucked neatly inside of thick, wooden pages decorated with great shots and quotes from the movies. And of course you have the book underneath with sketches and maps and amenities galore.The discs all provide everything you need to dive into the movies and the making of said movies as well. It feels rewarding to own.

This is the “ Ultimate “ collection to own
Even though I have both Blu-ray sets and both 4K SteelBook sets, I still wanted this gorgeous set. It is everything that any collector could want especially if you’re a fan of the movies. I just swapped out the Blu-ray’s with the 4K discs and now it’s perfect. Top notch quality and the illustration booklet is marvelous.

Best collector’s set
I’m a movie collector, especially for especial editions. This is my favorite of all. I thought about buying the 4K set, but the quality of the packaging is so bad. I’m truly happy with this set, and it looks beautiful displayed.

AMAZING
WOW WOW WOW! As a lord of the rings fan, this was an amazing purchase. It is absolutely stunning and a beautiful display piece as well. The video quality is amazing and with all the deleted scenes and extras I will spend days enjoying it.

What can I say but it's a steal at this new reduced price. This is an absolutely beautiful and amazing limited collectors edition. True LOTR fans will not be disappointed :)

There and Back Again, A Middle Earth Boxset Review
Ignore the naysayers that are salty about the lack of new content. This is all of the existing released content in a sincerely gorgeous box set. Solid, real wood, faux but gorgeous leather, 30 discs and a gorgeous journal with super high quality paper and drawings within. Is it worth 800 bucks? Absolutely not, but 300? Definitely.
