Odyssey Battery ODP-AGM35 Performance Series AGM Battery, Passenger Car

I have a 2019 Subaru Impreza Sport. My current OEM battery is working fine but at almost 5 years old I don't want to take any chances getting stranded. I wanted to get a quality AGM battery and Odyssey batteries are known for being very good replacement batteries. While this battery is slightly less deep, the hold down bracket fit well and the install was not very difficult. It's very nice that the battery has a built in handle at the top that folds down flush. My only issue with the install was for me, the negative pole was a little too small in diameter and I could not tighten down the battery terminal enough to get a tight fit. I had to use a small bit of lead shim to get it to fit tightly. Not a huge deal but something to be aware of. I put a battery charger on the battery when it arrived but it really didn't need a charge it arrived fully charged. Starts and works well.

I installed this battery in a 2025 Subaru Outback. I did have to purchase new hold-down hardware for the battery ($10) since the Odyssey battery is an inch taller than the OEM battery which came with the car. I've run Odyssey batteries with our Subarus for several years now, and these batteries have never failed, even during sub-zero temps which we experience in Michigan from time to time during the winter months.

the new battery is awesome, BUT when i bought my battery in sept 2023 after 1 year it died and when i did warranty claim with Odyssey I was told the bad was sold to me used, my battery was manufactured in 2019 and was out of warranty, they also said that Amazon is not an authorized reseller so go figure, I chatted with Amazon CS and they gave me a 40% credit, which was good, so be aware if the battery has dates marked on the face of the battery return it and get a new one.

High price high quality, you get what you pay for

I was worried when I ordered this battery that it would not fit my 16kwh Generac guardian generator as the item size in the listing specifications has a larger size than specifications for the battery that I found elsewhere. The actual battery size is 8" tall, 9-1/2" wide at the top but 8-3/4" wide at the bottom and 6-1/2" deep. Because it is narrower at the bottom it fits nicely into the little battery well inside my generator. Since I found it to be smaller than the listing states (in keeping with the actual specifications stated on other sites), it fit perfectly and is a nice upgrade from the original liquid lead acid battery that it replaced. It started my generator right up once the 1505 RPM sensor error was cleared through the keypad.

After installing my new stereo and 2 amplifiers, when I fired up my car the lights kept cutting out and audio turning off. after a quick web search, I needed an AGM battery. I was between the Optima and this, the extra power this one has is what sold me on it. After installing this battery, fired up the car, went for a quick drive, and viola no more lights cutting out, no more stereo turning off and on.

Good high capacity battery that’s quality made. This is my third one and all are of same high quality. After decades of various batteries the Odyssey is the only one I will now buy due to performance and quality.
