DVD player
Decent equipment. Not sure for the price. Was upset due to remote not working. Have to manually start and stop it. It does keep the 1 year old entertained. Has some issues with freezing every so often.

Fairly happy
To start off, this was a purchase for the kids to use occasionally as in car entertainment, as most of the reviews you will read here. So with that in mind, first thing I'll address is the build quality. Keep in mind you are paying $66 for this, so don't expect a Sony or a Samsung. It is really light, all plastic and the buttons are all plastic as well, but with at least a nice texture to them. If you're kids are rough with things, this won't last too long. But if they can manage to take care half decently, it'll be worth the money. The playback quality and screen quality are actually really nice. It's big enough to be able to watch it even if you mount it to the headrest (I'll get to that shortly) and it's small enough for the resolution to look really good. The speakers are surprisingly loud enough that the kid doesn't need to put on headphones, and can stay somewhat grounded to reality. It's been a few weeks and he's really enjoying on random rides that would otherwise aggravate or annoy. I think on our first charge, we got 4-5 hours out of it. It was in spurts of watching time, so it's a little tough to judge. All the accessories that come with it are average in build and quality, the game controller though doesn't even feel real. It is so light, you wonder if there's anything inside. The game disc though does not ship anymore according to the seller. Instead they sent me a link to download the files to a usb drive and use that and it turns out those games are actually just Nintendo Roms that run on what I assume is a built in emulator on the system. So don't expect much out of the gaming section in this, unless your we're/are and NES fan, this isn't anything to get your kids or yourself excited about. And as of now, I have yet to find a way to adjust the volume on the Game mode, which is obnoxiously loud!Regarding mounting options for car headrests, there are basically none. I purchased a universal tablet mount, but the issue was the thickness of the DVD player was far too great to fit the clamps of the mount. I can alter and fabricate myself a new bracket that attaches to the base of what I bought, but not many people will be able to do this. So keep that in mind if you are looking for something to mount to the headrest.Overall though, I'm perfectly satisfied with what I got for $66. If you want something more sophisticated, higher build quality or more features etc. you'll have to go name brand. But for simple movie watching, to keep in the car or anything along those lines, this is more than enough!

Best portable device of this kind for this money. Highly recommend.
This portable dvd player was a life saver for me! I have a toddler who just so happens to be obsessed with a specific character and television show. I do a lot of driving between sports events with my older children and just driving in general, so it gets kind of hard to keep my youngest happy while she is stuck in the car for long periods of time. She knows how to work my cell phone and loves to touch the screen and press buttons. While trying to keep her occupied in the car, I try to put some videos on my phone for her to watch, but she is little miss independent and has to hold the phone herself. This causes a problem because she has to push buttons and play with it, which in turn, stops the video. Not fun to deal with, trust me. I have another portable dvd player, but that one has buttons exposed for her to press as well. This particular dvd player swivels to rotate the screen and close it to act more like a tablet. The best part is that the buttons are hidden when you close it down, so she can no longer change the video or turn it off! The speakers are still front facing, so the sound quality is still good. Sometimes it's good to go old school and have no touch screen! Now we have much quieter car rides and she stays nice and content. It holds quite the charge on the battery and also comes with the house charger and the power cord for the car as well. The remote makes it even easier for me to change the video from afar. The other great thing is that this unit also accepts memory cards and usb inputs! My other device does not have that ability, so you either watch a dvd or nothing at all (while in the car). With this device, I am able to download some of my kids' favorite shows or movies onto a memory card and they are able to watch them while we are out. One thing to keep in mind is the video format that needs to be downloaded, as I accidentally loaded the wrong format of video onto the memory card the first attempt at using it, and I had not completely read all the details on which files it accepts. After switching it to AVI file, everything worked out perfectly! We will be taking this camping with us next month, too.
