I sure am glad that I kept at my digging on Amazon to find the right kind of bag for me, this purse is fantastic. I would have paid double for this bag.I am a low key kind of lady, and I will mostly just rock one primary bag for my day to day. About every 18 months I look for a new one because they start looking busted. My criteria is always this; a manageable size, black, leather, no big emblems or patterns, practical compartments, and shoulder strap. This hits all the points and then some. On first glance it has a classic shape that can pair with anything, and a satiny sheen on the leather. The size is almost a bit too big (because I tend to be a pack rat) but incredibly practical. I am impressed with the dual handle or strap options, well made color matched hardware, reinforced stitching, zipper weight and smoothness, and easy to clean liner in the inner compartments. I will report back once I start thinking about its replacement and let you all know how it wears over time. So far I am thrilled.

This bag is SO SOFT! Buy it!!! I love that it has pegs on the bottom for durability. The shoulder straps are big enough to slip your arm through with one hand, and the skinny straps don't slide off the shoulder at all. I'm not a fan of huge purses and while this one is a little bigger than my usual size its absolutely perfect! I don't fell like I'm carrying a suitcase. But my friend who is a fan of giant purses loved it, too. There's plenty of room but even if you don't pack the purse it still looks and feels great. It stands up nicely. The zipper works well.I originally bought the bag after three people from my work got it. It matches my Bostanten laptop bag PERFECTLY, as you can see in the picture. Bostanten bags are about $80 and this purse couldn't have been a better fit to accompany it at a much better price point. Go for it, get this purse!I also bought this purse in green for my Mom. I'll updat the post with her thoughts when I give it to her. I know she'll love it.

Very pleased. Leather is great, liner is mediocre, stitching is fraying but strong, edging is coming loose.I've used this as my main purse for a few months now. I'm a little rough on my purse since I take it to the casino and shimmy the shoulder strap over the side table for convenience and security. (Imagine sliding the shoulder straps over an ironing board that's at chair level, allowing the purse to dangle below).I really dig this bag! It's a great size and isn't too wide that it gets in the way while I walk. The straps are narrow and if you tend to load your purse VERY heavy, it will dig into your shoulder. I keep a medium-heavy bag and it bothers me at the end of the day only if I've kept it on my shoulder the whole time. The shoulder straps are adjustable with 3 notches. The standard length is nice but I loosened mine to accommodate the aforementioned side table. It also no longer snags on my elbow if I take the purse off my shoulder with the same arm.The leather is impressively lovely given the price and has a wonderful color to it. The texture looks and feels consistent. I like the big front pocket that is perfect for a phone (no matter how big the phone) + a long, skinny lip balm. However, you can see in the picture that it has a bit of a bend right where that pocket is. This both keeps the phone secure but also a tad cumbersome to slide your phone in and out. I tend to hold the top of the purse (with my non-dominant hand) to keep the front taught, then the phone slides in and out much easier. I have a galaxy 7 but I'd imagine any phone would easily fit this pocket.I do not use the long, hooked, strap. However, the edging on the shorter shoulder strap is already coming off. This is a concern for me. I don't know if I should glue it back down or rip off the entire edging. I took a peek and the edge of the strap would not look ugly without the edging- just a less-polished look. There is also a slight amount of fraying from the stitching. It doesn't look bad yet and the stitching is still holding strong so I'm not bothered by it.It should be noted that the inner lining only attaches at the rivets that attach the shoulder straps to the bag. If you aren't careful, you could inadvertently place a small object between the leather and the liner. I've only done this once or twice and it was very easy to retrieve the lost lip balm at the bottom of the bag. The inner lining is cheap plastic which does not feel nice. If they undated the liner this would instantly gain another star. But it's definitely still worth it to me given the price. There is a zippered pocket that divides the purse in half. It stays uprights and firm.The purse does zip but not all the way. It will be 90% secure on the side the zipper starts, and leave quite a big gap on the opposite side. Really it's just a theft deterrent so someone can't easily steal your wallet while you aren't looking. While at first I thought this gap on one side was a con, I actually find it a blessing! I now slide a water bottle between the leather and the lining. This keeps it water-resistant (maybe -proof?) from the items in my purse, and I can completely zip the purse with the top of the water bottle sticking out. If I weren't such a lazy person I'd upload a picture for you...but alas....

Had for a few weeks before the black material on the strap started to come off - used a little bit of glue to stick it back on and it's no problem. Some of the stitching is coming undone; however, I have been filling the bag to the max and carrying heavy loads so it is quite understandable. The straps are thin so - don't put too much stress on it. Otherwise the material has held up well, doesn't get wet in the rain. Really like the open front pocket - it's perfect for my phone. The pocket diving the purse inside is great too - great for my wallet. So even when the bag falls over, I'm not worried about important things falling out. Color is true to picture.Update 10/12/17:I'm dropping the rating from 4 stars to 1. I received the bag on August 11th, and in 2 months the bag broke. I have attached pictures of how the long strap broke. The clip broke in half (and it is all metal). I was careful not to put too much in the bag given the strap is thin so this bag did not stand up to any sort of normal usage. In the second picture, you can also see how the rubber on the sides of the strap have continued to fall off (I mentioned this in my initial post on how I glued it back on - this did not work. I used super glue and gorilla glue). Because the strap moves, the rubber gets rubbed/flexed/etc., so in spite of the glue, kept coming off. I really wanted to love this bag because it could have been so functional, but it was so poorly made.
