easy read for the beach
It’s a little predictable and the language in places doesn’t make sense. I felt it was a little light and found some of the characters unbelievable, childish and considering it was set in wealthy families a little common with the language used.

Loved this highly reccomend
I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review4.5 starsAfter Aspens fiancé cheats on her with her cousin and then dumps her for said cousin. Aspen finds her 'image' tarnished in the eyes of her father who is very old school in life. Aspen works for her fathers company and has goals to take over as CEO when he decides to retire. He makes it very clear to her that the only way that will ever happen is if she finds herself a suitable boyfriend. So with a little encouragement from Aspens best friend Harper, she hires an escort to pretend to be her boyfriend at work and social events. From their first meeting they are attracted to each other but neither is looking for anything serious and Rhett's company have very specific rules about interactions with clients and they take these rules very seriously! But it becomes clear after spending time together with family and without that there is something more between them than just the initial attraction. They eventually realise they've fallen for each other and the rest of the book is about them growing and learning to be a couple.I enjoyed this book immensely it was witty, charming and the writing style was beautiful and flowed lovely. I absolutely loved aspens strength and personality and she really made this book for me.A few things really did bother me though I didn't feel Isabella's character was that realistic. In the beginning she comes across as a vain spoilt brat and the reasons for her 'hating' apspen in the end just really came out of left field for me and it didn't sit right with the feel of the character from the beginning. The book ends with still a lot of unanswered questions but I'm hoping we hear more from Rhett and aspen in the following books.Overall I did love this book and I would highly recommend it.

The book ends at 68%
I've never read anything by EL Todd before and having downloaded this in 2015 and for it to become lost in my long list of things to read, I finally reached it!So what were my thoughts?1) PLOT. The first three quarters was really great. I loved the closeness and teasing between Rhett and Aspen, the whole will they or won't they scenario. After this, it does become a little quick in pace and I found that the plot was lacking a little in description and feeling. The ending was predictable, but it just ended too quickly for me that I wasn't satisfied enough. I've still got questions!2) CHARACTERS. The characters were likable and most of which were well fleshed out. Because Troy is pegged as the comic relief, I found him a bit irritating and stupid, but he must be a smart guy deep down. Aspen's father was too disney-villain and so was Isabella. There seemed to be some John development I would've liked to have seen more of. Rhett is lovely and so kind and considerate.3) SETTING. The background felt so close to being realistic, but something was a little off. I was so used to the same few backdrops that I felt like the city wasn't alive enough.Overall I did enjoy this and I will probably read the sequels at some point.
