Best french fry cutter available!
Easy to use and clean, an most importantly requires minimal effort to cut fries. Very, very well made! Replacement blades are readily available if necessary although the ones supplied are heavy duty and should last a long, long time. As well as additional styles of cutting blades are available (I purchased a blade set for making steak fries that fits perfectly). Thankfully this cutter uses industry standard sized cutting blades just in case. Please note that like ALL cutters, this unit is not meant to cut sweet potatoes unless you soften them first (by microwaving them briefly or boiling them for a couple of minutes in water) but it does do an excellent job on sweet potatoes and other hard roots once softened. I also use this to cut zucchini to make 'zoodles' with the smallest attachment. They are fantastic, much better than any spirilazer because they are thick enough not to get soggy and thin enough to hold any sauce you put on them. I am very, very pleased with this cutter and highly recommend it. It is excellent also to dice softer veggies like carrots and cucumbers.

Great Machine
This device is a beast. The fact that the handle pulls down and the machine is sturdy means no moving around on the countertop and much faster fry cutting. Would definitely recommend.

What a BEAST!
As a teen my mother handed me a 1950's potato fry maker with a red painted wood handle and said get after it if you want French fries so bad. I was on the high school football team and was in excellent physical condition. I forced 2 poor potatoes through that fry maker before pulling out the sharpest knife and cutting the rest by hand. This fry cutter took lightly sprouted but still firm baking potatoes some over 7" long, easily cutting them. I did notice starting required more finger pressure. That might be avoided when starting the cut by wobbling the potato as you place it. Also, it likes straight up and down potatoes, no leaning, for smoother cuts. As for the screws and other reviewers, yes I will be getting thumb screws (wing bolts) 2 different lengths to replace the combination Phillips/standard (straight, slot) screws. As most people will use the same cutting grid, I see no reason to change out the short slot head (standard) screws that hold the press bracket. Several were irritated with no place to put a bowl. I used cheap sheet of gripper available at Dollar (+.25) Tree or Amazon. I placed the material over the base of the press, gave it a few inches extra and cut it off of the roll I got from Amazon. I tried 2 different sized bowls, one round, one square and both worked very well. My round bowl is easily 3 times larger than the pictured square bowl. SUMMARY: This is a serious fry maker and built as such. It is heavy for manual home kitchen food processing and weighs roughly equal to a quality home electric food processor. With fresh vegetables even preteen and elderly can operate it. I did not notice any forward tipping as long as I pulled on the down moving handle. Look closely at the picture and you will notice the press is on a Sam's Club cutting board which is on our RV bedroom's memory foam mattress, no tipping. Watch the product video. Cleaning requires 4 screws (6 if the food is very juicy). Brush first then your choice of soapy wash then rinse, rinse or. Bachelor style: leave the press and the receiving bowl on the counter for tomorrow night. Not recommended as it dulls the blades, lol. Cons: Send better instructions for the less mechanically inclined. Include with the press a simple stand for the receiving bowl. The 2 guide posts should have been made full length yet I saw no problems resulting from the shorter ones. I will correct this on mine in time. THE SCREWS- nuff said on screws. Factory suggestions: Extend the guide posts up to a mounted cross bar with holes for the guides. Make a simple stand for the bowl that moves with the press should it slide slightly. Redesign the press handles so they are slip lock or pin in for easy removal and install for storage. Most importantly: SEND ME 5 UPDATED PRESSES, FREE OF CHARGE, FOR TESTING PURPOSES. 4 of the units will be divvied to our children's households whose cuisines include body building, French, Mexican, New Mexican, American Canning, Italian, Navajo, Apache, Southern, East Indian, Ukrainian and fast food from most of the aforementioned. MY CRYSTAL BALL tells me all will be delighted with the press. We have not tried sweet potatoes yet. I plan on soaking my sweet potatoes for 5 hours in purified drinking water before attempting to put them through the press. If that does not work I will boil them for the recommended time. 4 Stars: This press is truly a "green" pearl. A few minor enhancements/changes and this unit will be hands down the best for home use. I docked one star because it is not what it could and should be. Reason recipe for getting this press: New Mexico green chili cheese fries. https://www.amazon.com/505-Southwestern-Organic-Green-Chile/dp/B005DFM87U/ref=sr_1_33?crid=50TZZ37NNG7W&keywords=hatch+green+chili+sauce&qid=1672609771&sprefix=Hatch+greeen+chili+%2Caps%2C160&sr=8-33 , make fries, warm up sauce, plate the fries, pour on the sauce, sprinkle with liberal amounts of shredded cheese, shredded lettuce with diced tomatoes, sour cream and/or guacamole are optional, thank the Lord for good food and dig in.

Must have in the kitchen
If you are a cook of any sorts, this is a tool you’ll want in your kitchen. From making French Fries to rapid dicing of vegetables for a Pico De Gallo this chopper is absolutely the best. The interchangeable blades are simple to swap with just two screws and a pin and are easy to clean with a stiff brush and butter knife (I use the butter knife to dig out stuck pieces in the push block). With three different blade sizes there is one for every application you could use. Highly recommend this one for its ease of use, durability, size and ease of clean up.

Cuts with little pressure and saves time in the kitchen!
I am so impressed with my new commercial grade cutter! It is so convenient to save time and cut food in easy to eat slices! So far here is what I like about the cutter: 1. Easy assembly 2. Saves time, when cutting veggies, fruit and meat 3. Perfect and even slices everytime 4. 3 different cut sizes 5. Sturdy and well made materials 6. Blades are sharp 7. Works with minimal pressure 8. Rubber feet prevent slips I ordered this cutter to make my cooking routine easier and faster at home. The cutter is much heavier than I expected and is made with heavy duty commercial grade stainless steel. I use this almost daily to cut apple slices for my sons lunch and he loves it! Perfect to get picky eaters to enjoy eating more fruits and veggies. So excited to make avocado fries, fried zucchini and motzarella sticks! The posibilities are endless (

Wish it worked better
I will be returning this item. With the long handle you would think that you have plenty of leverage and chopping things like onions would be easy...not the case. You do get some leverage but then it wants to kick out the bottom on you. Also. I would think you would be able to get a sixth pan or something alike under it but you can't, it won't fit. So you have to find something tiny to put under there. All that I could have forgiven but the one thing I can forgive is that I am getting shavings in all my food. The grid pusher doesn't line up quite right with the grid blade so it slices off shavings of black plastic in everything you cut. I could have lived with it had it not been for tainting the food. So I will return it and try a different brand. I have a fry cutter and it lines up perfect and I have never had that issue so maybe a little different style or manufacturer will be better.

Very sturdy press. The nature of the design needs less effort than any lever style press. Only downside is screws rather than knurled screws for tool less die change. I personally just went to a local hardware store and grabbed M6 knurled head bolts in the lengths matching the original and never looked back at the oversight of using screws on frequently changed parts of the press. Would be a solid 5 star if it came with knurled bolts instead of mix an match phillips and flat head screws to change dies.
