Q: I have a studded shower room what distance.spart are the wooden batterns ive heard there is a common factor

Wooden batons??? Don't know what you mean. Ours went straight onto tiles in toilet

Q: Is it easy to fix this hand rail to the wall?

It has 8 screws to fasten it to the wall under the movable round covers. It all depends on the material that you are screwing it to if its just plaster then brick suitable length screws and Rawl plugs would be required and a masonry drill of the correct size for the plugs If its tiled with ceramic tiles you would need a special drill to get through the glaze then suitable screws and Rawl plugs if brick again . Things get really tricky if the tiles are Porcelain as you would need a special diamond impregnated drill to get through the tile then again suitable length screws and plugs for whatever you are screwing into. If it is a stud wall you really would need to find the stud work to make the rail safe. My advice is if you are not sure get someone who knows what they are doing as a badly fitted grab rail could be dangerous

Q: Has this got a plating on the surface or is it solid stainless steel ?

Hi I had one of these rails and it was all Stainless steel which is good as it possible could be in a shower. My tip would be to put some silicone sealant on the screws before fitting then a cap of sealant on the head of the screw to water proof it. Also a good idea to use screws that have a protective coating on then just to be on the safe side. One of the reviews for this item said it was not Stainless steel as rust was coming from the rail What rubbish it was probably the screws going rusty

Q: Can this be fixed on a studded wall

As long as it’s attached to the wooden verticals or wooden noggins it should be fine. You can buy a tool, which will find the studs for you. Hope this helps. We have ours in shower unit, but it’s attached to a solid wall plus tiles, very sturdy.
