I am a huge fan of fountain pens. I don't really understand all the excitement about this Parker fountain pen. Perhaps it is from fountain pen owners that haven't own a truly reliable fountain pen before. The pen is truly beautiful and writes smoothly, however, red flags! It leaves some gaps. I wouldn't say few, it's a little more than few, that's why it renders this pen useless. The gaps are totally annoying. I get more gaps when I write in print than in cursive, and I know you are going to say that fountain pens are meant for cursive writing and not print, well in fact, yes, that has some truth, but it is a fallacy. You write in your own style and I write in both print and cursive. It depends on the occasion, I don't limit myself to just one style. So going back to this pen being useless, it leaves too many gaps and the nib and the inking mechanism itself are poorly engineered. The ink runs out too quick. If I write every day it will be gone in a week. You probably got caught for the looks of this pen which I reiterate, it is a beautiful good looking pen, but that's it. Not worth its value at all. Unlike my German brand fountain pen, I call it 'old reliable' now after this bad experience with the Parker pens; I never had the mentioned issues with it. I can write in any style, no gaps, writes beautifully and the ink really lasts long; probably a month. I've come across to a lot of German products and they're always good reliable stuff that lasts long. Ps: The other brand fountain pen starts with a 'P' and ends with an 'n' and it is the name of a bird that lives mostly at sea and has a big pouch on his mouth to catch fish
