Sealy Optimum Memory Foam Pillow with OptiGel, Standard

This is my second Sealy Optimum Gell pillow. These pillows are heavy so, but not a problem for me. After 5+ years my first seemed to start losing its cooling ability. My first one has the checkerboard pattern gel. Also like my first Sealy pillow this one is very firm and feels a little tall out of the box as I am primarily a side sleeper. I know it will get better and it’s not bad either. It is of course very comfortable but the cooling! If you sleep on your back this pillow is heaven! I also sleep with a fan. If I let the fan blow on the end of my new pillow it actually feels cold at first and keeps my head from getting hot all night long. It won’t keep your head cold, but just from getting hot. That’s what I wanted. Also the new design. Just think physics. This is the only pillow I have seen that subscribes fully to the laws of thermodynamics in the use of cooling gel. It works! Better IMO than the lattice gel of its predecessor and most other gel pillows. Should be recognized as the best cooling pillow out there IMO.

LOVE this pillow. It's cool and just the right mix between firm and soft for me. I had an older version of a memory foam pillow that was too hot and firm...this one seems to rightly address those issues. While it's a great pillow for me, the hefty price may not be worth it for what you get. It is also a heavy pillow that's not easily adjusted. All in all, I would buy again.

This is by far the best pillow I've ever used. I have owned half a dozen memory foam pillows over the years ranging from low to medium grade. This pillow is high grade. I would definitely rate it among pillows that cost double what this one does. It seems the price has gone up recently. The price it was at previously was really nice. But even at the higher price, it's still not a bad deal. This pillow really is great. It's sooooo soft. It doesn't get hot either. It gets super soft, but still has some substance to it. I mean, it feels really soft when you lay your head on it, but it doesn't completely flatten the pillow unless you put a lot of weight on it. So its nice and soft, but still supports your head at the same time. It does have a cooling pad, that will stay cool for awhile at first use. But the foam side will actually remain a reasonable temperature even after a night of sleeping on it. I have noticed pillows before that tend to get overly hot. But this one doesn't do that, it's very well ventilated. I have the queen size for myself and my daughter loved it so much she wanted me to get her one so I ordered her the king size since the difference in price wasn't really that much. The king size is gigantic by comparison. I'm jealous really. I want a king size for myself. They are a bit firmer when they're new, but with a bit of use they will end up being the snuggliest pillow ever. I also have the mattress that matches this pillow and it's epic too. If you want the best body pillow money can buy, grab a king size. Or if you just want a really huge pillow. But if you don't need or have room for a giant pillow, then get a queen. I don't recommend the regular size unless you really don't have room for it. The smaller one probably wouldn't be quite as comfortable.

This pillow is comfortable. However, it doesn't keep your head cool for longer than a half an hour or so.

This is a fantastic pillow. Much better than I anticipated and must say that the cooling side of the pillow is quite efficient. I love the plain side as well. It is a heavy pillow but still quite moldable and comfortable. Expensive but totally worth it.

This pillow is very hard, I contacted the manufacturer and they said they would switch it for me.

Greatest pillow ever. I take it everywhere.

It was not soft enough for me. However I have two sons who love them. I am used to my contour pillow I bought a few years ago.
