The size more or less matched what I was expecting from the picture, but the quality is nothing like the photograph; my piece is mainly grey and very dull indeed. Only about a third of it is purple… A very dull purple. Unfortunately it was a present and I am unable to return it but would do so otherwise!

I ordered this item for my daughter's birthday, as a little extra, and I spent some time looking through the various pictures for one that would sit nicely on her desk. The one I chose was not the one I recieved, which is not as asthetically pleasing. It has smaller crystals, is somewhat flat, apart from the overhanging 'hook' (see pictures) which is the outside of the geode, and it is somewhat grey and "washed out" ! A shame when I was hoping for a nice purple piece for her gift. Rather disapointed about that.The item arrived as expected, 4 days later, because I had chosen the "buy it now" option which did not enable me to chose the "get it tomorrow, free" option - probably me not paying attention.It was packaged well, wrapped in bubblewrap and secure, then in a cardboard envelope, so no complaints there.Overall, I suggest buyer beware - the item you chose is no necessarily the item you will recieve, but it will be the right crystal, and around the right size. Quite inexpensive too. 6/10
