Trying to read through this book. Not keeping me interested in the material so it’s taking me awhile. I think I was hoping for different kind of information that’s not in this book.

This was an excellent book!!! I am considering switching from a telephonic RN case manager at an insurance company to an acute care RN case manager in a hospital and this book gave a wonderful overview of what to expect. It was very helpful and easy/enjoyable to read. I finished it quickly because it was so well written. I really enjoyed the case studies. It described some of the challenges that are specific to acute care case management and gives a realistic picture of the job. I highly recommend the book if you are interested in an overview of acute care case management.

Working in acute setting as case manager, and the training is always the best but having a resource to guide you with the law, regulations best practices and almost everything you need to know in one book is amazing. I was waiting for a super expensive book that was never released the last version and this one came to the market: could not be happier. Thanks for all the effort ypu put on it.

I love that this is completely focused on acute care as the fast paced work done by Inpatient Case Management is not always understood along the continuum. I really like the scenarios Colleen included to demonstrate her points. I like it so much I purchased copies for several colleauges as surprise/early Hospital Week gifts. This book is relevant for day-to-day functioning as a inpatient case manager. I will also be using the book as one of the study materials for my ACM exam.
