My Early Steps Learn to Walk Harness (Gray)

As compared to Walking Wings, I thought I would like this more, but I personally don't. I wish there was no pad in the part that goes between the legs. I also don't like the way the straps latch from the back to the shoulders. The way Walking Wings has both straps at the top of the shoulders is better and effects balance less when you need to give assist.

Absolutely loved using this to teach my boy to walk by 8 months. In hindsight I realize that was a rookie parent move. I suggest the follow on product be a suit made of velcro so the second kid won't even think of walking. But in all seriousness I loved this product. My kid was very interested in walking around everywhere and this saved my back from bending over to hold his hands. Plus I felt it taught him to use his arms for balance (which can't happen if you walk around holding their hands).

We bought this for my special needs son to be used with a treadmill. I like that it's easy to put on his (even when he's squirmy), but I wish the straps were longer for our purposes. I know that it was created to be used in the way we're using it, but I wish it had the flexibility to do so. Longer and sturdier straps would help. Also, it the straps had grippers or something to make it easier to hold a child who doesn't like putting weight on his feet.If it was specifically for our purposes, I would give it only 3 stars, but since I know that our use-case is different from the intended purpose, I'm giving this 4 starts.

I ended up getting this because I threw my back out a few months before my daughter was starting to walk. I thought this would really help me help her walk without having to bend down to her level and strain my back. It worked perfectly for me because of this reason.If you have a child with normal milestones being hit and you are able to bend down to help them walk, I wouldn't suggest this item. It is expensive for only using it for maybe a month or so.It can also be cumbersome to get your child into the device.My daughter loved it while she used it though. And I loved being able to walk her around without having to hurt my back further.

I love the concept of this but to keep the straps out of the baby's way they are too far back so it pitches the baby forward which partially defeats the purpose of it. I do like being able to straighten my back for a few minutes while the baby walks... But I wish the walking was more natural/upright vs leaning forward.Separately, this is pretty easy to get the baby in/out of if they are laying down (ideally on their belly). It also has detachable straps if you wanted to keep your baby in the body harnesses while crawling (although why you would do that I have no idea since it is pretty bulky for crawlers).

After having this one I am glad I didn't order the others without the strap under my baby for extra support. Many just wrap around the baby's center and not underneath them as well. This is a better option because my baby will suddenly drop sometimes when wearing this. This harness is strong enough for me to pick him up off the ground. It works really well and he enjoys being in it.

This product has taken our daughter some getting used to. We don't use it all that often because it hasn't really seemed to make a difference. For reference, our daughter is almost 17 months and has yet to start walking. We originally bought the product to give our daughter a boost and encourage her to walk.She seems to have fun when she's in it, and for that I give 4 stars. I don't think the product makes all that much of a difference for children learning to walk however.

I got it to save my back! I thought it was a great idea, but our son didn't. Every time we put him in it he hated it... Wasn't long before he started walking anyway. Had he liked it, it definitely would've been a back saver. He didn't though so it hardly got used.
