Product was what I needed
The Moen Knob insert was received timely and in good condition. It fit perfect in my Moen shower knob and looked just like the original. It was easy to pop in and seemed sturdy so I was not worried about breaking it when pushing it in. It did seem expensive for what it is but about in line with what the local box stores charge when they have them in stock. I might have gone for a generic version and hoped for the best but since I am selling my house I went with the real thing.

Nice replacement.
Easy to install and nice replacement, however we have had to buy several times. I think if you push on it to turn off the water it just doesn’t last for too long, since it’s not a super thick plastic.

Not for a shower
This handle did not fit my shower. I've since learned that Cascade shower handles are deeper than faucet handles. The description of this product said for faucets and non-pressure-balancing shower (91751). I don't know how to tell if the shower is or is not pressure balancing but I now think that 96797 tub and shower knob for Moen Chateau would have been the correct knob. (A plumber that I hired to do a couple of other jobs told me that the Chateau shower knob is deeper than the faucet knob and fitted one that works so I have not tried the 96797 knob). Please don't take this review as a criticism of the product, but perhaps the descriptions could be more explicit about what this knob does and does not fit. Note, the two look almost identical in the pictures.

Not the whole knob
Like some other who purchased this, I thought this is the whole knob. On top of that, I ordered a bunch of stuffs and it supposed to arrive in one package. Didn't realize this is not in the package until I checked my order history now. Partly my own fault, and now I can't found a way to get my money back.

Easy to switch the original "starburst" design.
This is just the snap-on cap to the knob. I removed the original metal "starburst" insert (from my broken cap) with a straight-pin gently worked under the insert. The original "starburst" insert fit perfectly in the new cap.

Quality replacement for old Chateau faucet knob button
This is a Moen replacement button for the Chateau line of faucet knobs. This is not the entire knob. Just the button. If your old knob button is loose because the plastic ribs that form a press fit with the knob are worn, then this new button will fix the problem. I replaced the button on a 25-year old faucet knob and it fit perfectly. The only difference from the old button that I see is the addition of hot and cold (red/blue) color designators in the top of the button and a slightly different design to the embedded foil. This button seems to be substantially over priced for what it is, clear injection molded plastic with a piece of embedded foil.Nov 25,2022 Update:One of the plastic ribs on the button that hold the button in place broke after 3 years, 2 months. I ordered another button because it is the only readily available replace I have found. Hope this one lasts longer.

Product color description does not match item received
I needed to replace the Moen faucet handle insert on a circa 1993 faucet handle which has a white and chrome nameplate. The Amazon product description, in two places, for this item says “white and chrome” regarding the nameplate however the one I received has the red and blue accents, as in hot and cold. As my faucet is one of two on a twin sink vanity, I wanted them to match. I ended up prying the new style nameplate out and replacing it with my old nameplate that luckily I kept. Problem solved. The 3 vs 5 stars is for the inaccurate color description. No issue with quality at all it is a legit Moen part.
