Much better than the one that came with my bowl
I bought a singing bowl, one that was recommended by Amazon and was surprised at the horrible striker that came with it. It was a small wooden thing that made a scratchy sound when rolled around. I bought this set, it as not cheap but it made everything much better. I guess it is meant for a bigger bowl than mine but it works great. At the beginning it was frustrating because the striker was just dragging the bowl around but after many uses it seems to have lost a lot of the traction it had initially and now I can make my bowls sing. It takes a little practice to find the sweet spot between putting too much pressure and dragging the bowl and putting too little pressure, but I guess it's part of the point of having one of these.

Exceeds my expectation. Great Mallets!
Nice dark brown color, looks better than the picture. Made from solid wood and nice weight; and at a good price ($11.99). The larger/taller mallet is a little weighty for my small hands if I play for a while; but it's meant for a larger singing bowl, and my singing bowl is very small, but the shorter mallet is perfect for it. Apart from that they both play beautifully. Moreover, both mallets can be played from both ends! They are strong and sturdy and should last a very long time. I will not need to replace these unless they get lost. Just what I wanted; would highly recommend.

Works just as I wanted them to
Works great - I have an older bowl and these make the same sound as the one that I lost, with the same bowl. So they are perfectly fine and will most likely create the sound you are looking for. Also, two of them, different lengths, which is cool and useful.

Comes in 2 different sizes
I like that it comes in two different sizes so you can determine which one is best for your singing bowl. I've had these for a while now and they're holding up. They are light and comfortable to hold. I only gave it a four because I prefer the sound of a thicker stick; that could just be because of the size of my bowl.

2 sizes for various singing bowls.
These mallets can be used for striking the bowl and making it ring, or making it sing by rubbing the suede side around the periphery of the bowl. These work well, as long as your bowl is on a stable ring or pillow.

You get what you pay for
I bought this set because it was reasonably priced. When it arrived, I discovered why. I haven't used the larger one yet but I am very disappointed with the smaller one. While it did allow me to achieve a nice sound from my bowl, the wooden handle was rough to the touch, and there were a few places where the glue was visible and palpable. The other really annoying thing was that it was wrapped in plastic wrap and it was a total pain to remove. Because it was embedded in the ridges of the mallet, I peeled off what I could and then had to cut the rest of it with a knife. Not exactly safe and I could have lived nicely without this experience. I won't buy these again.
