1. The lights cannot be seen through the black pen top - even when flashing bright underneath. Don't buy this colour - you WILL be disappointed!2. The batteries are sealed in a glued together sphere - which, while safer for children, means they cannot be changed.3. There is no pull out tab to preserve battery, because of the seal - so the amount of useable time, is dependent on the journey it has had (it is vibration activated BTW).4. One of the units received had the three batteries rattling loose inside the sphere.Badly designed, no quality control...keep your money!

This was meant to be a stocking filler for a child. It had grubby black stuff on it when I got it. It was quite disgusting so I washed it off (which took a bit of doing, incidentally!) and now the silicone ‘tentacles’ are all stuck together. Lame.

I purchased 2 of these pens, one each for my granddaughters. One of the pens is perfect, the other, well, let's say it may need a haircut before I give it to an 8 year old. On 3 strands of the 'hair', I'm not sure what it is, could be burnt or something like oil. It's not coming off easily that's for sure. Apart from that, they make great fun little gifts for kids and the light up feature is a bonus.

This is a great little novelty pen. Looks good and writes well. It says tap on a hard surface to get the light to come on so if you hit the eyes of your knee that tends to do the job. Yes the white is coming off the eyes slightly but for £1 you can't go wrong. Love it so much i bought a second.

VERY disappointed... due as a stocking filler. Just arrived and it is filthy and some tentacles are missing... would like my money back of this item. £3 for something fit for the bin!
