Love this hat! It’s a little pricey, but it fits well. It’s warm and I have a lot of hair so having a hole for the ponytail works great for me!

I absolutely LOVE these hats! I love them so much I have had to buy multiple colors to match every jacket. This time I purchased the orange hat for hunting season. I needed a hat that was functional for women with long hair and something that would keep my head and ears warm in the Wisconsin winter. This hat allowed me to wear my hair in a bun or ponytail while keeping me warm. Unlike other hats, I don’t have to shove my hair into a hat. The quality of this hat is great! It is warm, well designed, and has great function with the elastic hole. On another note, the orange color is pretty bright but it worked perfect for hunting season which was the intended purpose. I have had other colors of this hat for years and it shows very minimal wear and tear. If you have long hair and enjoy wearing it in a ponytail or bun without shoving it in a hat, this is for you!

I am in love with this hat and with the concept of this hat. Warm ears + not-messed-up-hair is a REVELATION that I have been looking for my entire life. Now my goal is to steadily replace all of my hats with one of these hats in every color. A++.I got the Ivory with Metallic (Gold), under the premise that it will match everything like a beige hat would, but be a little fancier/snazzier, and it is right on point. I wore it last night to an anniversary dinner and felt appropriately dressy yet comfortable. The leather tag is cute, and "CC" happens to be one of my nicknames! That won't matter for you though. ;-) I would prefer the hat a LITTLE bit slouchier, but that is just personal preference. It is comfortable and not itchy. Its warmth level is "indoor/outdoor Christmas in the Pacific Northwest" but not quite "polar vortex;" you'd want a thicker or lined hat if it's really cold out.One star removed just because, although the hat itself is made well and worth the money, the opening where the ponytail/bun goes through is a little sloppy, and I'm worried that it may fall apart soon--the elastic is thin and not super high quality (a thick ponytail-specific elastic would be better), and the end-knit of the hat is knotted simply, just once, a little loosely. (See photo; it's hard to REALLY see but you get the idea; the knot is on the right side.) It hasn't fallen apart YET, and I think that repair will be pretty easy when it does, but the hatmakers could improve this part a bit / make it a little hardier.

I bought this "ponytail beanie" because of the colors and not because I want to wear it with a bun or ponytail. I read the reviews, saw the photos of how the hole doesn't keep its shape because, imo, the elastic isn't strong enough to do so with long/heavy hair. That gave me the idea to use that elastic to shrink the hole as closed up as possible and wear it normally, and that's what I will do. I'll pull the (thin, narrow) elastic together and put some strategic stitches in it, smooth it all out, and wear it normally. The unique colors make it worth that effort! It's gorgeous.**NOTE TO SELLER: The annoying part of the purchase is that Amazon slapped the address label on the outside of the thin plastic the beanie comes in and mailed it that way. It should have been placed inside an Amazon envelope for protection. I consider it a miracle that the thin original plastic held together until delivery (it isn't made for that!) and that the beanie wasn't snagged/damaged or lost out of the baggie.

Love this hat I wear it every day almost for work! Definitely buy one! Holds up well in wash and dryer. Fit is nice it tends to slide down my forehead some but it’s probably the position of my pony tail. Love the hat will purchase again

Love it!!!! it is not lined with any kind of satin or other material. It is just knitted/ crocheted all the way through so it is very flexible and stretchy . Super cute!!!

I took a chance and bought this in 2 colors right off the bat. Thankfully, they didn't disappoint. The hole for the ponytail isn't huge but it does expand. For me, this was an idea I hoped was part of that feature. My reason is, if my hair isn't in a ponytail I can still wear the hat as intended without messing up my hair. I can group my hair as if to put in a ponytail and use the hat as the rubber band. Then pull the hat down and in place. My hair underneath still stays neat, the hat won't slip off and I won't get that rubber band hump. I have very thick hair. Hats are always a necessary pain in the winter that have to get strapped in place with a scarf. This should help avoid that.One thing I'd like to mention, I ordered the dark red and the black with specks. The black with specks is thicker, so, slightly stiff. This doesn't dissuade my opinion. I love both. Just thought it might be worth the mention.
