I bought this lamp to replace a much larger and more expensive Ottlite floor lamp. I used the Ottlite for many years for fine, close work such as hand sewing, crafting, and crochet as well as a strong light to aid in the removal of splinters and other everyday home medical tasks. This lamp is much lighter than my Ottlite was, which is a good thing in my opinion. I haven't been smacked across the nose because it is very well balanced. It was not difficult to assemble. The remote control helps by fine-tuning the color and intensity of the light. I like that there are presets for various lighting tasks. All in all I am very impressed with this lamp and will order another one for myself. I think this would be a great gift for someone who crafts, does needle work, or reads. I heartily recommend this lamp!

Easy to put together and works great. I liked it so much that I purchased a second for the other side of the bedroom. The nightlight mode is a great addition to the regular levels of lighting.

The media could not be loaded. Well, that escalated quickly. But it’s true - I love this lamp!It is super-easy to assemble, it has amazing brightness, it’s the right size for most people, and the gooseneck works well, mostly - when you adjust the gooseneck it does loosen the rest of the stand which is every bit as annoying as it sounds. But that’s literally, not figuratively, the only con I have found with this lamp.Will it still be working in a year or two from now? Well, I have no way of knowing that since I’ve only been using it for a few days now but the price is cheap enough that, if it does stop working in a year or two, I’ll buy another to replace it.As half a cripple, I spend a lot of time sitting in my bed, and I have bought trays and laptop stands and stuff like that so when my pain becomes too severe I can move from my desk or table onto my bed and continue playing a game on my laptop, read a book or (even better) the Good Book or, one of my favorite hobbies, assemble Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar miniatures and models. Before I bought this lamp I had to turn on every darn light in my bedroom but still had a difficult time reading print or assembling my minis. Thanks to this lamp that is now no longer an annoyance.The lamp stands a good two feet over my bed and its highest setting is so bright that I have no issues seeing pages or where I need to cut and/or file on a miniature. It is flexible enough that I can easily adjust it to give me the maximum illumination no matter where I am sitting on my bed or when I am laying down.Again, the only con is that twisting the gooseneck will loosen the rest of the lamp and it has to be tightened a little as a result, but for the fantastic lighting it gives for such a cheap price I am more than willing to overlook such a minor aggravation. You also do not have to use all of the stand pieces if you don’t want to, making the lamp stand a good deal lower to the ground so it can be used in smaller places and could even be used as a desk lamp if you should so wish.The remote control is fantastic and it has several presets for varying levels of lighting and lighting ‘warmth’, as the orange-ish tint is said to be better at nighttime because it does not affect your ability to fall asleep as the brighter white-ish light does, and you can turn it to very bright or pretty dim according to your needs. This is a great reading light with a number of color temperatures and intensities. The remote works very well and has several presets for lighting modes. The only issue I have with the light is the base is not very stable on carpet. The base is too light. I remedied this with a coffee can with 5/8" holes in the top and bottom allowing the lamp column to pass through and filled about half way with pennies for added weight. Works great. Love this light.

Great floor lamp and perfect for where ever light is needed and it has so many useful features!

Bet ready to assemble. The directions are pretty straight forward. And I love the fact that it has a remote for it. I get pretty lazy on my off days, so I pretty much have a remote for everything in my room. And I like that it has different settings. U can adjust the warmth and brightness of the light, and it even has different built in settings for whatever occasion u might need it for, such as reading, gaming, using the computer, nursing, or even just having a relaxing cup of coffee or tea. And it even has a 60 minute timer in case u fall asleep with it on, it will turn off automatically. U can even adjust the neck to face any direction. I have mine facing up towards the ceiling so that it gives off just the right amount of lighting. I thought it was gonna be a little brighter, but it's ok bcuz I still have another lamp in my room if I need the room to be super bright. But it's still bright enough. I hope the bulb lasts forever, bcuz it doesn't look like there's a way to change them. So if it ever goes out, you'll probably just have to buy a new lamp. But I'm assuming that the life of these lamps lasts for a long time since they don't seem to use much energy

I just received this floor lamp and it was easy to assemble. It is lightweight and tall enough to use at my computer desk. There are many brightness levels and brightness temperatures which is a great feature. The bendable neck seems sturdy and moves easily. There is a remote control which is a very nice feature. The remote has instructions and is very easy to use. The remote also has buttons for a 1 hour timer and a nightlight. I will use this at my computer desk & will order a 2nd for my bedroom so I can use the nightlight feature. This seems light a very good floor lamp with lots of good features that are easy to use.
