5/25/25 UPDATE Their Skip Jack tuna is even lower in mercury so I will try that. All tuna meat has mercury and so shouldn't be eaten on a daily basis or by pregnant women and children. Chia seeds and flax seed meal are healthy things to add. I can't find a non-seed oil mayo I like so I used Chef Hak's Buttermilk Ranch made with olive oil, salad dressing.Original: I wanted a low mercury tuna and this one is supposed to be the best. Mixes up well for tuna salad and makes a great panni albacore tuna melt sandwich. Fishwife tuna is also very good but cited as "mid-range" for mercury.

This does not even look like tuna when first opening the can...it is molded together with a similar look to canned spam albeit white. When breaking apart, it is hard and a strange consistency, not to mention flavorless. Appreciate the mercury factor but it's inedible for me and would return if I could!

I originally purchased the tuna because it was reported safer to eat. I liked that it has a firm texture, tastes good, and makes delicious tuna salad. Planned to have on hand at all times, but sadly it was out of stock on my second subscribe and save order.
