A timer you can actually hear!
I am a retired professional baker, and these were the timers we primarily used. Any others I have tried, its hard to hear the buzzer, this one is really loud, which I want in a busy kitchen. Easy to set, and turning it off can be tricky at first, but once you get the hang of it, its a piece of cake:)The battery can fall out if dropped, so as soon as I load in the battery, I put a piece of electrical tape over it.It is, in my opinion, the best timer on the market for the price.

Great for kitchen
A similar timer stopped working after many years and needed replacement. I was very happy to find this. The biggest difference is the chime, not nearly as pleasant as the sound of the earlier one. Still, all in all it works just as well.

It was a really nice deal to get two timer's for almost the same price as one timer. I had this same timer and used it all the time for a lot of years and it was very dependable until I dropped it and then that broke my timer. Now I will have a back up ifi

How long do they last?
They don't last much longer then 6 months to a year before they quit working.
