We own several thermos containers for beverages as we are out and about often. This was purchased for carrying either a hot or cold lunch.For the hot lunch, I preheated this thermos with boiling water for 5-10mins, then added the hot meal right away and closed the thermos. 5 hours later the food was „warm“ not really warm enough to call it a „hot meal“ and I was also worried about growth of bacteria since the temperature of my food was in the red zone (30-45 C where bacteria proliferate rapidly).A second attempt to like this product was tried: cold milk for a lunch time oatmeal cereal „Müsli“. I pre-treated the thermos with ice water, and then added cold milk. Same thing … 5 hours later, tepid, almost room temp milk.My camelbak chute mag would have kept the milk ice cold.Summary: great geometry for using with food and eating directly from it, but poor thermal insulation compared to other products on the market.
