Q: The part number is correct but the make and model thing says it won’t fit my truck. I have a 1999 f150 xlt 4x4 139” I’m not sure what to go by

I purchased this tank for my 2000 F150 4WD extended cab w/ 139" wheelbase and it did not fit. The tank would not fit against the frame to allow the straps to be installed - there was a 3" gap. After several emails with Dorman they said it was the right part number and had no explanation as to why it would not fit. I ended up going with a different manufacturer.

Q: What are the dimensions of this fuel tank. Here on Amazon it says one thing but on the dorman website it says something different for this model
