Great product
I've used camo tape for years and this is a much better solution. Not bad to install if you take your time. Overall great product!

Awesome
I watched a few videos first, folowed the instructions, and had the camo skin applied without any issues. The things to remember are using heat (a blow dryer) and patience. It took me about 2 1/2 hours to do my 870 but it went off without a hitch. Just take your time. I'm very pleased with this camo skin !!!

Should be shipped in a roll
As others have stated, a paper-backed vinyl product like this should be shipped in a roll. Having said that, the product I received was kinda rolled into a box, so at least it didn't have hard creases in it. The first thing I did was to unroll all the parts and lay them flat. I pealed each piece to release the soft creases that were in most of them and left them flat overnight. So far so good, and only one crease was still visible after this process. We will see how well it works over the long haul.

Take your time!
This is the second time using this product, first was on my old 870 that needed a face lift. The 870 turned out pretty good. This attempt was on a tristar viper G2 that i wanted to turn into a conservation snow goose hunting rig. Watch the installation video and TAKE YOUR TIME. Using heat in small increments is the key. Just to do the buttstock, foregrip, and receiver took me about 3.5-4 hours and it turned out great. Cant really speak for the durability, the 870 is a turkey gun i only had out a few times last year, and have not gone on my snow goose hunt yet. For the price, you cant beat it, it really breathed new life into that old shotgun and the tristar looks really sharp.

Good Information
Im posting my entire review of GunSkins because I used this for the barrel , 25 rd Magazine, parts of my scope and stock on the same project . Though the materials are different how to apply them is the same.If you think this is a Peel and Play project you are probably wrong.I ordered both the AR-15 / M4 Skin and the Scope Skin.I also got a Mossy Oak Bottom Land Shotgun kit because I wanted something different. Both came folded in a 9x11 envelope packaging just like sand paper comes in.If you ever folded a bumper sticker the creases here are the same. The Mossy Oak kit came in a small box.You probably noticed ( TEMPLATE ) on the AD and you will find this reference on the packaging too. What GunSkins use of the word TEMPLATE here means is Silhouette of whats in the package. There is no Template.Next if you have a multi rail hand guard there is only one precut piece of 13 1/2 " which you need to cut to size and use as your Template.GunSkins do offer a Quad Rail set for additional $20 but I did not know about this so FYI.I have a Smith and Wesson M&P 15-22 with a 10" Quad Rail Hand Guard.( After completing my weapon I started to assemble it and found I had to trim off all the rail Camo because my scope, folding grip, & bipod would not slide back on ).My advice FYI is if you use your rail do not apply the Camo there.I am glad I had the use of a good Swingline Cutting Board that really helped with keeping my 3 blanks the same size and square.Hope you have extra X-Acto blades and sharp pencils for making your own.Trimming is not as easy even with a new blade as the video would have us believe.Trimming can quickly dull your blade and I found letting things cool then trim and reheat worked best for me.Or better trim before you separate the backing. The key is to keep heating and working the material. My hand guard took me about 4 hours and while it looks good only time will tell.In summery I was slow, steady, and determined and got good results after 18 working hours.Trim all white from your material and all slivers of Camo there might be around the material. If you do not do this you will get a poor fit and scramble to repair.Keep your tools, hands and body clean of trimmings and adhesive. This will take observation because I doubt you will feel them sticking to you.I had the AR and Scope kits along with a Mossy Oak Shotgun kit.I did the S&W M&P 15-22 -Scope25 rd Magazine50 rd Drum Magazine ( This is where I used the scope kit as my scope was mostly done from Mossy Oak Stock cuttings ).I have enough material left from the 3 kits for repairs and maybe 2 more 25 rd Magazines.Only time will tell how good this stuff is.

Awesome product and camo pattern, but has a few cons.
This product is a PAIN to handle and install. I believe after several uses a person may become very efficient with the wrap, but that means to me it is not as simple as advertised. I'll leave my very honest opinion and insight to hopefully help others.Once the pain of installation is done this product literally transforms your gun! I am very pleased with how it looks on my bird gun! My buddies thought I bought a new shotgun. Almost all of the air bubbles resided after the install and the only creases were where the material over lapped. You do lose some grip one the gun because of the wrap, not enough to complain about. The reason I could not give it a 5 star rating was due to the materials inability to withstand the heat of the hot gun after the install. I went to a pigeon shoot and was really proud of my gun. I shot often and well that day. After 5 boxes of shells the gun gets hot [Duh]. Much to my dismay, the wrap began to come "un-glued" to the barrel of the gun around the muzzle, foregrip, and the vented rib. I tried to ignore it but when a buddy used it and brought it back pointing out the flaw I was over it. If you put this on a gun and you don't plan on running to the point of getting hot you'll be fine. But to me, its on a gun and I had hoped (not using common since) that it would hold up to my idea of typical use.1st, the instructions tell you to clean all surfaces of oil before you apply... and they mean it. It seems taboo to do this to your firearm, but it is a must. Use your favorite oil cleaner as long as its not abrasive to any of the surfaces. If there is any oil, or even residue, it will effect the adhesive.2nd, leave yourself at least 3 hours to do this. It is very tedious so take your time if you want it done right.3rd, measure TWICE, cut ONCE. There is a little material to spare and you can use to fill in gaps but it makes this even harder and more time consuming. Also, when making cuts where material overlaps, make your cut a wavy line cute rather than a straight line. This helps the pattern transition and really decreases the visibility of the crease and overlap.4th, HEAT IS YOUR FRIEND!!! Use a hairdryer or heatgun to "warm" the material and surface when applying. This will help you stretch the material into place because you will never be able to make perfect cuts with this stuff. Just don't get crazy with the heating and stretching, it will MELT the material and it will loose its adhesive. When you are all done, hit with more heat and give it some final touches. I did a Ruger 10/22 as well as my 11-87 and had good results by leaving the gun in the hot car all day the next day to help the material set in and memorize its surface.
