It works! It is mechanically speaking very basic. But I do believe it reads correctly. You just need to make sure you are sticking it deep enough into the soil to read properly since the bottom of the soil holds most of the moisture. The only thing that sucks is you can’t use it in every plant. Plants with many small roots will not work since you can’t push it down far enough without hurting the roots. So I can’t use it in my orchids which is what I was hoping to use it for. Other then that no complaints.

The meter was working for a week. Upon utilizing the product for the week the indicator needle on the unit fell off. I am a true believer that you get what you pay for. I wish it would have lasted long as it was a helpful tool while it was working. I hope that the manufacturer/seller reviews this comment and investigates it quality control team.
