Not a fan at all
Wanted to try Wild Zora for a while as I've seen a hiker I follow on Youtube eating it on trail and was curious, and I wanted to try a healthier option as well. This 6 pack quinoa variety bowls seemed a good deal, so I took them on a weekend backpack trip. I tried one of the chicken bowls and it was terrible. I gave it to my dog. Glad I had powdered peanut butter and pistachios on hand. I give this flavor a zero on the tasty scale. The next day I tried the Wild Zora flaxseed breakfast packs. Marginal. They were tolerable and I was really hungry so I ate two. They tasted nothing at all like the flavor on the pouch. I'd give them a 3 on the tasty scale (that's my made up scale of 1 to 10. 10 being the best). Finally, after a rainy day of hiking I made myself try the Beef Harvest for lunch. I'd give it a 5 or 6. It was not awful and I ate it but I gave alot of it to my dog. If someone gave me a beef one for free, I would eat it, but I wont buy them again. I have 2 untried flavors but I dont have high hopes for either. All that said, I havent tried the other Wild Zora backpacker meals. Maybe they are better. I'm afraid to try them though unless they were free. Maybe some folks will enjoy these, but I surely did not.

Satisfying enough!
I started living a simplified life style since the pandemic two years ago. Food prep typically involves my electric kettle or toaster oven. These bowls offer great taste and texture. It is not so tasty that you'd want a second serving right away. (Not like if you buy a bucket from KFC you'd be grabbing one piece after another.) Much better than instant noodles.I am not a foodie. When I was younger, I went on camping/road trips frequently. I was quite happy with freeze-dried food in a pouch. I am ordering more of these so I won't go for less healthy alternatives.
