This Denver TDC-280UK radio/ CD Player/ tape cassette record and play unit is sn excellent piece of kit. The sound quality is extremely clear. When I listen to the DAB Radio though Alienware dynamic headphones, the quality of the sound is truly astonishing. The excellent remote control makes it extremely easy to initialise and set up the unit and try all its functions. The unit also looks very smart. I am extremely pleased with the purchase.

i'm used to high end hi fi and wanted this for quickie play of all music avenues. its only fit for a bathroom,bedroom or kitchen or out on a picnic or garden. NOT a lounge music system. if you want base then forget that....it has NO BASE at all. so....ideal in flats where no sound will carry any THUMPS. yes its feature packed, and dab+ was excellent i got every station in my area with the antenna rod in its correct position (find your spot) FM is no longer of importance to multi station quality. the screen is tiny but has all the info you need displayed. remote responds easily and is feature packed. good little instruction booklet. certainly not your HI FI replacement but a good back up where you may need music with other features from many forms of imput. NOT FOR HI FI BUFFS. just music on the go needers by battery or mains. all it needs is much MORE BOOM BOOM in the box.

very poor sound quality, instructions and just about everything. For a DAB radio the screen is tiny. You can't just switch it on you need to scroll thro the menu. After sales is rubbish too they promise things but don't follow thro.

Compact, nice looking boom box, but lightweight in more ways than one. I bought this having searched for online recommendations for a dab radio CD player. This one came out on top, probably because very few of these seem to have a dab radio; most just have fm. It turned out to be rather academic anyway as I live in a remote area where digital radio reception is pretty hopeless - only a small number of stations and only in certain parts of my upstairs rooms, so I was disappointed but not entirely surprised to find that the search for dab radio stations came up ‘no stations available’. The fm radio had more luck, though still with limitations. I mainly wanted a CD player as my old portable looked as if it was about to pack up. What I could really use, though it doesn’t seem to be a feature of this or any other boomboxes, is a timer, so I can put on a cd during a sleepless night and know that it will switch itself off after a set time. In these days of rocketing electricity prices, it’s a feature which I think is essential, but clearly manufacturers don’t agree - yet. The booklet of instructions ( only a couple of pages in English) wasn’t up to much. Totally lacking any mention of the CD player and the references to the controls labelling them differently on the machine to the labels in the instructions. I did eventually manage to work it out, but you can’t just assume that everyone will manage this. It doesn’t seem to respond very quickly anyway. I pressed the off button but it was a while before it actually went off. The sound quality is okay but not great, though you can’t expect much from such tiny speakers. ‘Boom’ it doesn’t do! It was supposed to have a remote, but this was missing, so really a very average buying experience all round, especially for the price.

I thought that this would be a great radio at the price. I was wrong. ~The sound is tinny, it is very difficult to operate having a tiny screen no instruction worth mentioning.. The instruction booklet is useless, so brief, no details. there is no contact site for help. It is supposed to have DAB+ but I can't get it. Beside it is a cheap radio I bought from Aldi. It gets DAB loud and clear. Avoid this disaster
