Only complain is that it’s hard to remove when it’s stuck to a flat metal surface. First try, I toss it over a small bridge and it got stuck on the bridges metal beam. The plastic tool didn’t help but luckily I had a metal bar

Magnet works

Brand new to magnet fishing but consumed by it like I was disc golf the first time I played. Magnet fishing is fantastic and I will continue to chase the “find”. However, I’m finding out quickly that there are plenty of shenanigans when it comes to magnet strength. This kit truly has all you need to start your new hobby and adventures but you will not be pulling anything up that requires more than 50lbs or so. The design with the rotating magnet is great and innovative and I think helps. The con to the rotating is that if you have to pull it along the floor of whatever body of water you fish in it will want to behave like a wheel and could potentially lose something when pulling it in. My beef is the that I picked up one of my 35lbs kettlebells with it just lifting it up was enough to detach the magnet from the weight. Very disappointing. I purchased another magnetic kit from a different company and same thing. My friend bought a $20 kit and her magnet is for sure stronger than this one. Maybe I got a dud magnet but probably a common issue people run into often buying their kits. So here I go on my quest for a strong magnetic that comes close to the number it advertises. Happy fishing everybody. Get out there and find some stuff.

I got this, and a 1000lbs magnet at the same time. The kids love the treasure hunting and things we find (lures, hardware, horse shoes, etc). I like the larger size for the bigger things, though. Eitherway, it was definitely worth the $13!

Had a great time using this on a lake with the kids. Easy for my son to throw and pull in. We also use it from a fishing pier and find all sorts of interesting finds. Cheap, fun way to spend some time and find treasures.
