Ideal - provides hardwearing coat to painted canvas boots
I painted a pair of Halloween themed canvas boots using Angelus acrylic (leather) paints this product sealed in the painted surface providing a tough, resistant coating over my artwork. Definitely a good choice but make sure you use sparingly.

Dulls the colour of gold
I used these on a pair of shoes that I revamped to seal the Gold but it dulled the colour. Not impressed as I did my research.

Do not use a brush with the High Gloss
I've been using Angelus for years and most of it is good, but very expensive for what you get.I'm a graphic designer, spent 15 years doing high end silk screen printing and have a degree in shoe design and making. I also taught fashion accessory design for 5 years at a university. I know what I am doing with art and paint materials.I watched a few official Angelus videos and decided to try the High Gloss. The High Gloss was applied, with a brush, to some black NIKE slides in one of the videos.Used it on some white patent Manolo Blahniks that I bought for £10. I drew patterns on them with a high quality permanent black pen and then used the High Gloss 4 Coat on top to hopefully seal and give some shine. I applied it very thinly and was planning on doing multiple thin coats as Angelus suggests. The High Gloss 4 Coat is terrible with a brush. Bubbles absolutely everywhere. I gave up and rubbed the shoes down with acetone and did something else with them. I tried a few different shaped soft acrylic brushes and nothing works without horrible bubbles.Might be OK with an airbrush, but there are official Angelus videos on Youtube showing the product being applied with a soft paint brush. Also worth noting that Angelus seems to have advice on the use of their products that don't apply to the individual products. The company seems to have a very messy and confusing attitude to their online advice.
