More comfortable than I would have thought
I was worried at first about using a solid wooden palm rest because I've used a soft plastic one in the past and thought this might be too firm. The ergonomics of the height are way more important to the comfortability than the material, and it feels just right. My hands don't slip while using it, and they don't feel stuck either. I think it's an acceptable texture of finish and it has held up well after a couple years of daily use. I would sayit's a decent value for the money.

Wrist saver!
I'll preface by saying I have terrible wrist posture and that's why I need a wrist rest. The build quality of the keyboard is top notch. Even though it is wood, the comfort level is in no way inferior to the soft gel variation. Also, unlike the gel wrist rests, this wooden wrist rest does not absorb moisture from your sweat, so you don't have to worry about your wrist rest smelling after awhile. Keep in mind that this is for the FULL standard size (numpad) so if you try to buy this for your TKL it will stick out a bit longer than expected. Overall love the product and saved my wrist from pain after a hard day of work.

Pretty, easy to maintain.
This is a very comfortable and attractive piece of wood. It comes barely coated though and was easily smudged when my palms started sweating. To fix this and prevent permanent damage to the surface, I rubbed some mink oil on it and wiped any excess oil. The mink oil acts as additional protection from sweat and other liquids, you could also use linseed oil (which is probably more common for wood). Time will tell how it holds up, but treat it as any other piece of wood furniture and I think it will last quite awhile. On a side note, I shudder a bit to think of how much sweat and dead skin builds up on memory foam/cloth-lined wrist rests. With the right materials, wood is easy to clean and re-protect.

No complaints
This so far has been comfortable enough for me, and I like the way it looks so I've got no complaints.I got this after switching from a Corsair K70 to a Keychron Q6. If you are coming from a Corsair keyboard keep in mind that this wrist rest is about twice as long as the stock plastic Corsair wrist rests.

Very comfortable
I like it a lot, not a fan of the logo but it's hard to find a good one without a logo.

I've bought many
I've bought three of these wrist rests — one for each of my workstations — and I'm about to buy another for my full size keyboard at work. Excellent quality!

Smooth!
This is coming from a person who was using a 5 year old Corsair K70 keyboard with an included wrist rest. THIS just feels so good. I think it's why having modular components are great - easy to clean and you are not bound to a keyboard as your computer ages and it's time for upgrades. It just feels so smooth when typing on it! Another thing you should really consider is that this shouldn't age badly. Don't forget that things age and wear and tear occurs; those other materials won't feel good anymore eventually or introduces discoloring and dust/dead skin/skin oils gets "baked" in. With my K70 wrist rest, the rubber on it started to feel sticky. So coming from that to this smooth wooden rest, I just feel like this was a solid investment!

Excellent wrist rest, BUT not for me
I'm rating this wrist rest 5 stars despite the fact that it's not for me. The reason that it is not for me is simple: My palms get very sweaty, and this makes my palms stick to the wrist rest, making it hard to move my hands around. This is an inherent limitation of the fact that it is made out of wood, and drove me to the 17" x 4" x 0.75" foam wrist rest from Grifiti instead. If you don't have sweaty palms, however, this wrist rest is perfect. It is 4 inches deep instead of the typical 3.1 inches, it is the perfect height and tapered just so for maximum comfort, the wood (Golden Oak color) is beautiful, and the engraved logo is tasteful and non-intrusive.
