Motorcraft WR4109 Plug Wire for 4-cyl 99 ford ranger
i installed these wires in a 4-cyl 99 ford ranger. yes, there are 8 plugs. they are the recommended replacement set per rock auto dot com. i used autolite AP104 plugs - amaazon listing https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000C21IKM/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_0 . the driver's side plugs are, uh, a bit of a challenge" to remove - i'd recommend removing the intake manifold: it's pretty easy - 6 bolts lower side, 2 topside plus 2 for the EGR valve. there are a couple small hoses under the upper manifold that are a bit if a challenge to remove and re-install, but nothing an average wrench wouldn't be able to do - use long-nosed needle-nose pliers and a long thin flat screwdriver. a new upper-to-lower manifold gasket was included in a set of gaskets i got from advance auto ($11). it should take you no longer than a couple hours even if it's the first time you're doing this job. second time, no more than 45 minutes. don't forget anti-seize compound for plugs and bolts.
